No, It's still the same game, with the same story. The Re-boot, is a rework of the classic game, but improvements in interface, some storylines, added content etc, but not a completely different game. Same characters are in the classic and reboot and main plotline and mechanics are still the same. Just vastly improved.

Honeygames are only working on the reboot and the reboot will be up to date with the classic pretty soon.

I get until 1.2 and I'm rebooting because there were some issues with a couple of storyline and I think I can make the game better. I mean I 've start reboot in january and now I'm releasing 0.9. I think it will not take so much time to get to 1.2
If situation in my country (italy) was better probably I was able to release it faster but the last 20 days was kinda crazy and I have problem to focus on work on the game.

I haven't played the rebooted version yet, I just skipped through the first pages to see the new interface. It seems cooler but I have to admit that I don't like that we don't have access to the stats of all the girls as before. Also, keep up the good work and don't mind the rude people in this forum.

First run through I went all out, but later I was trying to play through and change stuff up a bit and god knows the amount of times I'd see Ashley at the gym or beach or something despite having tried to kill off that route 5 times already but the game would try and force me back into stuff with her... second time I tried being chill with Yoshi but there was no way to avoid his bullshit... Michelle went on and on about being sober so much I was really looking forward to trying to turn her into some kind of junkie (so I always kept 1 of every drug on me), I wanted to see more about winning Kirsten back from the lesbian lady, and I was really into the starting a porn business aspect - while that was only Pinky that I managed to get I was super looking forward to getting to corrupt Rain into it (and then hopefully turning her into a full on prostitute) and maybe roping in as many other girls as possible (like your brother's wife, Irene)... so if this has been rebooted and had the routes and narrative cleaned up a bit, then later on lets all that good kinda rough/darker stuff be expanded on it could be a great game... I guess I should wait until the reboot gets past the point of the old version before trying it again though.

I think you have it spot on! Keep in mind that some of the events like Yoshi is part of the main story line, so there is some paths that you can not ignore. I think most of the other stuff is optional, but as honeygames said, regardless of your actions, certain events will still happen. Like if you decided to help Meadow or not, will not change the fact that she becomes a famous actress, but you either there with her or just hear it via the grape wine.

The GUI is work in progress. In new update will be different

They will be back...I helped a bit with the new stats screen and I think it will ultimately be pretty cool :)

New Coral City season 2 with v0.7
NCC 1.2 old saves are NOT for this Reboot of the game. I don't recall the last parts of the recap of the intro in Season 2

Start a new game. Watch the Recap.
waiting for Season 1 reboot after I finish v0.7 content.

Well, then you should clarify your Patreon About section that says:
After I got to v1.2, I decided to fix some inaccuracies and rebuild some mechanics to improve the game. Currently the released reboot goes up to v0.8. My plan is to release 1.3 by the end of March. (early April at the latest).
In the reboot I'm adding events and storylines that were not present in the original version.

I understood that version 1.3 would for the original version because the end of March is coming up in three or so weeks and the version number cap 0.8->1.3 seemed like too big leap in my mind for the reboot fork to catch up. :) This was the reason me to ask about two simultaneous development forks.

Ok. Reboot is the same game. But I start a check from schratch to fix some issues (if you've played the game until 1.2 you know there are a lot of paths). so in the meantime I've add some content and I've changed some mechanics. I've add some side events with some girls. I remade some renders I mean: It's the same game but is better.

In previous version there were basically isues with Kirsten storyline and with Martina storylines. and firt 15/20 days was confused. I've add a some hints to make you understand what's your choice will lead to.
Then I make more connection between some storylines and knowing exactly what will happen later I've intruduced some storylines slowly.

So from what im understanding is that A) you remade the entire game and that old saves will not work so start over. and B) dont download the current reboot files as its missing some key bug fixes that u will be uploading her tomorrow ? HoneyGames

Is the reboot as impossibly difficult to actually follow a path as the original? Choices seemingly just have random outcomes, and when you try to increase stats with any of the girls it seems 50/50 if it actually does anything no matter what is said.
