If I made a free roam with events that can be repeated and reached several times or at different times it would be impossible to create triggers between the various characters to unlock the events and the game would become very very difficult.
to have so many characters and a linear story you need to use this format. there is no other way.
I suggest you write in your native language and use DeepL to translate. I think that what you write will be much more understandable.

Just a bit OT here.
DeepL translate wouldnt be bad, if it would have more than dozen languages (at least in free version).
This way it has more than limited use for many users, so it is better to look for alternatives, such as google translate service for example.

yes everything has downside and upsides.
its ofc your chose but like piramits u start as easy then your work harder and harder.

becouse of u forwarddays and weeks u need move all all together

but if u chose move story otherwise u can skip how u want later on .or u pritize how your patreon voted.

when u busy can do ligher update when u had time focus do biger updates. now u need do huge load of work

your game is diffrent.thats why i give example another game SL i liked that game at past even i wish devoloped more before end.so move up with days but there was few route and few girls.so that visual novel like its suit.

at yuor game so many paqth so many girls so many thing so for my opion u do harder for yourself.

To be fair, that's precisely what HG is doing.. only he's utilizing a group of trusted testers instead of throwing it into the jaws of this forum and hoping for relevant feedback. Feedback that would most likely get lost in the endless barrage of virtual screaming, whining and shitposting that's always guaranteed in conjunction with buggy releases.
Honestly I much much prefer his new method, sounds lika a solid strategy.

For me it was after we'd been on a couple of dates and banged a few times, she calls MC up and asks about how he views the relationship, you either become bf/gf or she sort of ghosts you for the majority of the game - a few appearances, but also missing, like for the gym photoshoot.

I didn't go after Andrea and let her keep studying basically, didn't want to rock that boat. Tatiana is one that I had a lot of interest in, but apparently my character got to a 'no shot' dialogue moment. Not sure if I screwed something up, or missed something.

That's probably the conversation MC always has with Yvette in week 8 after sex or in week 9 if MC didn't have sex with Yvette in week 8. She's just not interested in wasting all that time to be MC's fuck buddy. But MC can still string her along on the girlfriend path, cheat on her and end the relationship weekly.
