If the NTR is avoidable it will be a good addition to keep the game open for people who don't like NTR
No it won't, people who don't like ntr don't like paying for ntr. So the dev will depend mostly on ntr fans for financial support which will ultimately make the game revolve around ntr, which is not what "people who don't like ntr" want to play.
You can't satisfy both.

And this is really the - very rarely maneuvered - problem of devs wanting to "play both sides" with NTR and Vanilla in adult games, really. Most of the time, it starts out with the best of intentions, explicitly with the plan of either an even split, or NTR as a "small, avoidable piece". But by the nature of having it there, the most ardent NTR haters stop supporting, and more and more NTR fans start supporting, eventually trying to push the dev towards adding more NTR focus, which many devs will do once their audience is leaning more in that direction.

The only ones I've seen really navigate this somewhat okay are games like Power Vacuum, because they seemed to have had a fairly well set plan from the beginning of NTR only as "bad ends", which you could turn off, while the bulk of the content is vanilla. That being said, it has still fallen into the trap, with the NTR fans still taking over when it comes to the "What If?" side content releases, which are almost all exclusively NTR focused. And there is still often frustration from some fans of the game over the specific order of when characters get scenes with the MC vs when they get Bad End/NTR scenes given to them. But overall, it's still a game that has managed to toe that line between vanilla and NTR fairly well, all things considered. And there are a few others that pull it off as well, of course, but they they are all generally exceptions rather than the rule.

Given what someone posted a few posts up, the Dev now seems to be planning on removing any NTR from the game going forward, which is probably the right move. Hopefully any other prospective devs who happen across this thread will read these posts and understand that it's better to either go full-hog or no-hog with NTR, especially for a first game.

It's one thing if you already have a game under your belt and people trust your ability to release updates in an expedient manner, and your ability to be transparent with how you're going to handle things. Then if you decide you want to have some multiple routes and have avoidable NTR (or other controversial tags like futa/trans, gay/trap, rape, etc) you can do that, and people might be more willing to trust you to pull it off. But a first-timer trying to do those things is gonna end up turning a lot of people off.

Even in that rare and somewhat successful example of power vacumm, it certainly limited the highs the game could have achieved with those renders and constant updates, if it didn't have such a divisive tag.
There's a reason the dev of that game has decided his next one won't have any ntr. Although it is too late for that imo, since he is known as a cuck dev already, should probably focus on growing his audience of ntr fans but can't blame him for trying.

Lol, the ntr boy is in the banner, he was clearly aiming for that being a huge part of the game

It's crazy to see so many devs that dont have a real plan and make 180 decisions at the drop of hat.

Did he really not know ntr was a controversial tag??? Lol. Even if you are happy the game will possibly not have ntr, such a big change is not a good sign

Hello, I’m a game developer.
I came here to promote my game, but I see it’s already been posted! XD

This is my first time developing a game, and to be honest, I wanted to satisfy both vanilla and NTR preferences. Out of that desire, I ambitiously tried to create both routes. However, while waiting for my game to be indexed on Itch, I spent time here observing people’s preferences. That’s when I realized that many people dislike NTR.

( I actually like both vanilla and NTR and never really cared about other people’s preferences before, so I didn’t know so many people were against NTR.)

Realizing how unpopular NTR is, and since the NTR route hadn’t been fully developed yet, I was debating whether to remove it or not. But today, my game was indexed, and I saw comments on Itch disliking NTR as well. That made me realize I was being overly ambitious, trying to cater to both those who like vanilla and those who like NTR.

So, I’ve decided to remove the NTR route in the next patch and focus solely on vanilla content.

P.S. Could you please update the Itch link in the post? The one currently listed is scheduled for deletion. Here’s the correct link:

Thank you!

It's such a shame people can't just not stop themselves from picking the option that they won't like. As a person who likes both sides, I'll end up playing it much longer to see all content as I see each path as a different "universe." I just don't understand it. I don't like piss and shit thus when an option comes up I just avoid it and call it a day. No idea why people see the option then immediately go on forums to blow their gasket. It sucks games can't be very creative with completely different types of paths without people getting all emotional and stop supporting over content that they do everything they can to see even with multiple warnings. The instant walk-back is such a shame.

Im still not sure what this is. If it has orgies and jiggle physics, I'm in. I hope its the kind of plot where the MC starts banging the MILF.
