I just assume that Chika is lying about that part, she literally says before that that she had friends but then lies spread like wildfire, idk just seemed like she was playing into the rumors or whatever. She kind of didn't seem to know how to deal with the MC and that also explains her then offering sex. And the catching her at work might have just been a normal job at the hotel lol... clothes didn't really fit but fuck do I know. Will find out I guess... I might just be coping.

My first reaction was that too. I thought it was just a red herring and that eventually the author would pull a 'sike, gottem' sort of thing, but after the hotel scene, and the fact that she fucks you in the balcony without much second thought leads me to believe it's probably real. Which sucks, because she was honeslty one of the more interesting LIs so far.

I just think it is. Like trying to use it as a way to keep distance. But yeah I am just going the friend route at the moment. I mean Im fine with whores or loose women being in the game as side characters but not really interested in a main girl that is. Maybe I could let it slide if she USE to be one and that started rumors but not if she is currently one.

And the fact that you actually fuck her there makes you a big hypocrite my dude, since she already told you that she's a prostitute by then, but you still went for it.

I don't know if it's a red herring or not (the fact that if you don't fuck her you actually get points for her might suggest that it was a test, and u failed it), but I also don't really care that much, people do all kind of things in order to survive and that makes it interesting storytelling for me. Also, my train of thought is that if I get to fuck around with whoever I want, other people get the same right as me. As long as I'm not in a spoken agreement with said LI, her past doesn't matter, only the future.

I can get why people might feel different, but it sounds like backwards logic to me. I hope you get to enjoy the game further (there are other LIs there if Chika is too much for you).

I am thinking she works there as reception or cleaning maybe idk. Like I am just kind of backing off and not getting to invested in her character atm. Gonna wait and see how her story progresses first before I decide because like you said, it did come off as a red herring

Nah, Chika is fine. I'm still choosing to follow with her route, since I fw her and her vibes, and I think her route has potential, but y'know. She is on side chick status for now on.

Hopefully it's either not true, or if it is true, it gets walked back either outright or we get a somewhat shoehorned twist that makes it so it isn't; seeing how the author is willing to listen to people's opinions. Either way and like I said, I'm still choosing to follow her route - I think she is an interesting character and all that. I'll just do it in the same way I read characters like Lily from BaDik or the Artemis girls. More of a passive reader than getting actively invested on her and her character

I really hope that is red herring. As mentioned i really liked her, even more that the childhood friend, i just would not want her if its true in the harem or in a relationship, just saying to myself.

To me, this doubly applies to prostitute characters -- I'm 'okay' with it as long as them being prostitutes is provided up front (which Chika has been very upfront about), you don't have to fuck them while they're active and they stop before entering a relationship with the MC. Not sure how the dev is going to handle this, but in a harem game where a bunch of the LIs (at the least Miharu and Ayase confirmed) were/are very clearly virgins, this is an interesting choice of backstory ... Although, on point, Chika points out her worth being lessened by what she does. I'll at least say I think the dev did a good job writing her.

In my opinion, her story is completely nonsensical and a BIG plot hole. She says she is so smart and superior to other people that she doesn't even need to study, which seems very arrogant in my opinion, but is she prostituting herself to give money to her drunk father? That doesn't make any sense, she was my favorite LI but after confirming that she is really a prostitute she died like LI pramin.
