The way dev defends her it's probably his favorite scene

I don't really understand by the statement that the dev gave about Chika. Is she a prostitute or is she not? Why does he say "prostitute"? Also about "the truth is not what you think"? Is he implying that she may not actually be a prostitute, that it's something else?
A lot of people are not going to wait for the eventual reveal whether she was actually selling her body or not, they've already checked out by the point they saw Chika in front of the hotel with a man.
Also who is that one commenter on the itch page that keeps replying to people that don't like the prostitution aspect? Guy is defending it hard, almost to the point of insanity. Feels like an alt account of the dev but I'm not sure.

Well if the reworked Ayase render above is anything to go by, then he's willing to go revisionist on things that gave people a bad vibe.
I personally prefer he just stick to the original vision and let the audience for his work find him and those who aren't will just leave (ofc they'll complain first but oh well.)

Now I'm really looking forward to seeing how the dev is going to rewrite the entire story: after she admits she's a prostitute, we see her go out with a client and have a couple of conversations with the MC explaining why she's a prostitute (which I haven't read and don't plan to), only for it to turn out that it was all a lie. I don't know what's worse: her being a prostitute or lying to the MC for what reason? The first is a bad idea, the second is a stupid idea.

Personally I hope she stays as a prostitute and doesn't get a rewrite yeah that may be off putting for some players but who cares not everyone needs to like every LI. I personally like the prostitute story line from what I been told about it. As I find I don't see that type of LI very often and if they appear they are usually a side girl. Much less one that has an actual story behind it the only other prostitute LI I can think of don't have much of a story behind. ( waiting for the next update as I want to do a full replay so I skipped the last 1).

I can't say how much story the "prostitute" LIs have because I've always disregarded them. Regarding Chika's past... well, the truth is that since I can ignore it, that's what I'm doing.

yeah understandable tho I am someone that plays routes even if I don't like a character / path . Overtime I found by doing that I will have a change of opinion about a character for better or worst. Plus it Kind of bugs me to not see everything a character is about and judge them to early over something that might get expanded on or show some character growth. Now it's different if a game is on like Version 7 something and nothing changes

I'll be honest, I don't know what his plan for Chika is either. However, I took his post to mean that she still hasn't sold her body. It would be a bit too much if she ends up being a prostitute, as her backstory implies it wasn't a voluntary decision. Forced prostitution seems like a bit much for me and it would also make her past far more tragic than that of other characters like Miharu or Ayase.
That said, we may just be overreacting, with what he wrote I'm giving him a vote of confidence and wait to see what he has planned.
It's wild how a lot of devs who say No NTR, don't take into account that people view things like prostitution in the same line as NTR. People don't really care about the emotional turmoil that the mc goes through in NTR, the whole thing is that they don't want to see LIs be fucked by other men during the story, in a vanilla game (assuming the character is single), if it was in the past then some people would overlook it, but it's happening as the story goes on. At that point it doesn't matter if the game has no NTR, only distinction is the context, at the end of the day, the LIs are still being fucked by others. It also negates the vanilla aspect. In the case of this AVN, The prostitute story just started, so that hasn't happened yet, as there is an implication that she hasn't sold her body yet, but I don't know which way the dev is gonna go.
