Seeing the scope of the game change to lesbian content temporarily would be fine if there was more content being created. Dedicating several years to effectively an entirely different game for a different target audience is a very strange business decision to leave to a minority of paying customers.

OK WTF is with N/A. that shit is starting to piss me off. I see a game has been updated. i go to look at the changelog. N/A AGAIN!!!!!. what is the point of the changelog if it's just gonna be N/A. this is extremely annoying when it's a game that has gone 3-5-7 months without an update. heck it's more annoying than a game going a long while without getting an update and finally get 1 update but in the changelog it's just 1 or 2 bugfixes and nothin else :[
HA! I see you're quite new here. I'll explain. The developer of this game is a lazy parasite and leech. All he does is bug fixes and very minor improvements. He does not add ANY new content to the game. I've been following this game for many years now and nothing has changed.

So the entire update is just one lesbian sex act? JFC...
Yep, like many previous "updates". This game is about male predators and impregnators but the dev decided to piss us off by focusing on lesbian content (which i doubt anyone really wanted) for a couple of years...

A lot of people wanted lesbian content. But probably no one wanted it to take so long, still not be totally complete, and to have almost nothing else updated in the mean time.

Can anyone experienced with python coding tell me what kind of framework I'd need to use to make a game that looks and plays similar to this one or Lillith's throne or any of these text-based Java games on this site? Would kivy work?

There is a framework called "renpy" that might be of interest for you. It is more for visual novels, but it can be used for pure text things as well. - I guess.

(Sorry for the OT.)

While I would absolutely LOVE a renpy version, with quality visuals included, I don't think it's very feasible. The platform would be usable, but I think people would be frustrated with a Ren'Py game having no visuals.

Someone more knowledgeable would be able to say it for sure but isn't Renpy rather slow? Part of what makes this game work is how quick the system is and one of the worst parts of LT is its slowness.
That said, if you do decide to do it, godspeed! God knows we need an alternative to both. If you're not too set on going 100% text-only, check out the way Making of an Office Bimbo by scoperative on tfgames uses images, it has a nice middle point and also a very light narrative and simple gameplay.

While I cannot say for certain that Renpy is inherently faster or slowly than other engines, LT's problem isn't the language it is designed in... mostly. If you browse around the forums for a while, after you find a section that isn't lambasting the creator's work ethic and namely the lack thereof, you'll find that the game updates EVERY STATUS FOR EVERY NPC EVERY TURN/IN GAME MINUTE. A general mess of coding in general doesn't help much either, turning what should be a very basic game into the porn equivalent of the Crysis benchmark.

Yes, LT is like the poster child for a game that would need a database. And a proper occlusion model. Not to mention a proper batch processing. Heck you could probably do it with a concurrent background worker queue in memory if you really wanted to process every NPC every turn.

But games like Newlife and LT are both made by beginners. Both were the authors first big projects if I recall correctly. It's no surprise that they get bogged down in complexity and low scalability.

Ren'Py is completely suitable for games with low or no graphics though. It even has an inbuilt mode for full screen text.
The challenge is more that it does not help you with setting up a gameplay loop since it's mostly designed for waterfall style games. You can do it easily enough, but the engine won't hold your hand or give you tools to support you.

What about quest soft player? It's used for Girl Life and a couple other games, no idea how easy it is to use though.
QSP basically is its own language. It's pretty easy to learn especially if you have coding experience already, but still...it's a whole different language and starting to build an ambitious game as your first project, will probably fail.
