To be fair the updates will seem more impressive if we only get an upload every 3 months or so.

8 years on this site. When I first ran across it on tfgamessite in 2014, it was already in development
It would be strange if this suddenly died. It is one of the longest running "in development" games I am aware of.
I'm surprised you haven't heard of Dwarf Fortress. That game's been "in development" for 22 years.
Except, DF is one of those games that really will never have a "Final" version and will never have a 1.0 release. NewLife has been working very explicitly towards its 1.0 release "Final Version" since the start and still hasn't gotten there in 8 years. Its not really the same thing. :V

Dwarf Fortress is in a league of it's own. But in a good way. Unlike Star Citizen.

Probably not. Splendid learned after this recent fiasco that they can just disappear for months at a time and still have piggies giving him hundreds of dollars in return for nothing. Before that, they realized they could get away with not doing updates at the end of every month (which they had done consistently for years) and still make money. I'm certain they will show up randomly within the next 30 days with another one scene update for a special NPC most players won't interact with, pride themselves on a job well done, and go do anything else besides working on the game for the next couple months.

when people stop being piggybank and paying for lazy updates, only then he will be forced to release one final version.
Use the most recently updated creators, make an NPC, close the creator, open the newly made NPC with Notepad++, add whatever traits you can (from either this forum, blog or Discord) and you're golden. Just run a quick check in the options before starting a new game to make sure the NPC has no conflicting traits.
