Nah, I'm sure they're still going to try to milk this for at least another 5 years. They've still got over 500 idiots giving them money every month for the 15 minutes of work they put in every 2-3 months. It would be fun to mark the game as abandoned again and see if they suddenly materialize again.
As long as some fools keeps supporting and being piggy bank this game will never end, he had literally made it like a hen which lays golden eggs each month with minimal of feed. They will just make a small update after 2-3 months adding some landlord update and say "YAY I AM BACK Bit*h" Now pay me for another 3 months. If people stop paying they will be forced to work more, maybe make a final content and sell it somewhere as a package, open it for Modders to write and do stuff.
Oh I completely agree. I'm sure they'll keep pushing updates further and further out until it's like one update a year that adds a single scene. I'm just wondering if they'll stick to one update every three months for a while or if they'll immediately start pushing it out again to see how much they can get away with.
You are still, you just dont know, start paying the dev and you can become MEGA one, because everyone who is being a piggybank for the dev at this point is now fallen in that category.

Since we're waiting a few years for the next update I figured I'd talk about my favorite part of this game: the cheating. I've been perfecting a story arc that involves a prim and proper female character slowly succumbing to the typical "ugly bastard". If you're not into that please keep scrolling. This is for those that are into it or whoever wants to spice up their gameplay.

DAMN, that handy trick is so devilish. I'll have to try that! I also did the route of him raising the kid without knowing it wasn't his. That's
I really enjoy the "ugly bastard" part of this game and wish there was more of it. I'm thinking of doing a playthru where instead of the "SHY" trait I'll sport the "BITCHY" trait. It might make her more stuck-up. For me, it's having her morals slowly crumble.

The character editor doesnt even come close to actual "Save editing", and its only for creating what is basically templates when starting a new game to generate characters from. If you know what you are doing and what you are looking for, raw save editing can go far in increasing the chance for various events, or at least your own kind of custom scenario as earlier described, or even just tweaking the game to your liking.
Outside of a small number of niche things, save editing is unnecessary if you learn to use the custom scene API. A number of people on discord have built out their private versions of the game this way.

I'm just sharing what I know so people can get more enjoyment out of the game. If that leads them to make custom scenes then cool.
Christ P Bacon , my post with the mega link has my entire newlife folder. It includes a character creator! I actually prefer making my characters from scratch that way but changes after are done in the save file since it's easier and faster. The character creator hasn't been updated in a long time so it's missing newer things. Look in the official documents to see all the traits and such.

Don't mistake my criticizing the game with me being a chud, fuck off with that. I'm all for the game exploring different genders and gender expressions. My problem with it is how it relies so much in treating everyone with utmost care and respect to the point it's unrealistic and boring.
The cum milkshakes plotline was removed because of this, the classroom harasser goes from a bully to a "school is bad because it stumps your potential and I want you to see that" art kid, everyone telepathically knows everyone else's gender and orientation and respects it regardless of presentation(which avoids conflicts and makes that part of the game clinically clean and uninteresting)... now they're considering removing alcohol, completely removing hypnosis and hesitating to add other drugs(in fear of Patreon, granted, but also out of their own preferences) and I'm sure that when they add Pregnancy it's gonna be boring as hell.
That game has nothing on Newlife and they're almost nothing alike except for both having lots of clothes and being text-based.

Also, fuck, that game really went to town with that cleaver to cut out content. As for the bully, why even have them in the game at all if they don't fit that description anymore? I liked the hateful fuckbuddies part with the bully/enemy. My question now is why get rid of the alcohol of all things?! On top of that, I bet pregnancy might (unfortunately) get cut out almost immediately or sometime in the future after it gets added in. Chances are they probably still use Patreon just to milk the people that forgot to cancel their pledges.
as of the newest public update I am pretty sure the cumshake stuff is still in. I don't remember hearing about any massive content rollbacks for any reason...
to get back to the point I have long since accepted this sort of wait as part and parcel of one person shows like this. the issue is the lack of transparency. much like the last lengthy break we have had total radio silence so they could be dead for all we know and that is a problem and any updates we could possibly get besides the new update coming out are behind patreon
lillith's throne has been brought up before and it too has lengthy gaps between new releases but people are in contact with the fans, you can see that it is being worked on, if at a slower pace than you'd hope

It's fake cum now, it seems. It makes the plot really weird because the NPCs still act as if the cum is real.
The second part is planned stuff, still being debated but headed that way.
You can still have Hatefucks, and I've never seen that content, but I have an idea of how it looks.
Yeah, they're saying it's because of Patreon. The rules say that anyone involved in sexual activities has to be able to properly consent to it, which means not being drunk, on drugs, sleeping, hypnotized, etc. The Devs are VERY afraid of Patreon so they're removing that stuff ahead of time because apparently someone on the team lives off of the game... then you look at top-earning adult games on Patreon and you have things much darker than any of that.
