Finally got around to finishing this game and oh wow, the ending is really dumb. You're even given a fake choice between two options, both of which invalidate all your progress. Way to wrap up the story by tying none of the loose ends, huh?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not sad about such a "beautifully tragic ending," I'm just baffled at how utterly illogical it is once you think about it for more than a second. There are ways to make a conclusion that is both tragic and satisfactory, and this one is most assuredly not.
