Here's the problem, all of the support they have garnered up to this point has been from people wanting a fnaf porn game. It's one thing to change the models but still keep with the theme of the initial pitch but to take the fnaf out of it because you want steam exposure leaves a bad taste in my mouth. To me it comes across as disrespectful to your supporters and it also makes me lose confidence that the dev has a clear vision on what exactly it is they want to create. I was in favor of the model change as we have enough games and animations featuring the cally3d models but for this decision to come so soon after, and for it to be so extreme...well, all I can say is good luck.
Maybe it won't be all that bad? It still is a fnaf porn game just no fnaf character in it. There is a game called "IN HEAT: Lustful Nights" that is basically a fnaf porn game but with no fnaf character that is coming out on steam soon. Yeah it suck that they're changing it from what it suppose to be just because they want it on steam without any copyright issue. But if the gameplay is good and they still have the animatronic theme into it. Then maybe it won't be all that bad.

Disrespectful or not, they don't have a fucking choice if they want to put it on platforms like Steam and reach a bigger audience

I mean, they could always....I don't know...make two separate games? Why did it take them this long and gain this much following before they thought "Oh wait, let's put it on steam! Oh darn, if we do that we have to worry about copied-right-in-fridge-mints. Guess we have to restart! Again!"

I've already said my piece about this developer and this new decision to rebrand on the back of the decision to make new models is basically acting as a billboard pointing to what I said before.

Support them or not, that's fine. But don't close your eyes to the obvious mate. All of their supporters thus far deserve an actual heartfelt apology for this and if they decide not to support their new decision any money they gave to them back. Of course, it's not gonna happen though....

you guys have a point here

but I was warning people that we are going completely different direction than before, you should have expect this
and afterall, we dont "restart all again", I was pointing that model changes wont affect release date or slown down game progress in any way.

also this is people's choice to support us or not, we DO warn our supporters on big changes so they are most times notified early about new changes in discord and can always directly ask me.

Tho for some reason90% of all supporters keep silent, not replying, not even chatting with us on any changes we do in game even If I ask them to do so, means they are not against/complaining, right?

What should I do, force them to speak?
Come on. Patience is the key, you will all see the result later. -w-

That's a terrible idea as a startup developer. No matter what way you look at it, it'd look like they're pulling an Eroscammer and trying to "fund a project with another project". If they actually try to go through with that, they'd be pulling apart their manpower trying to develop 2 different games at once because people are going to demand constant updates to both.

I do think they did the best they could with what they were presented with. They have the opportunity to reach a bigger platform and all they have to do is make the characters off-brand from fnaf, which allows more creative freedom. It's not like they're remaking the game again, just changing the character skins.

90% huh?
Here's a question for you and you don't even have to answer it, just think it. Let it flow through your mind.

A small company starts up with a product they want to make and want funding to make it a reality. They get some supports and eventually have a demo of their product. This brings in even more supporters who liked the demo and for a year or so the company goes further and further with the product. One day the company realize they aren't fully happy with the direction their product is going so they decide to change it. They voice their plans and ask their supporters for their opinion. Some liked the old plan, some liked the new plan purposed, some like the additional ideas the company presented.

However, after the results are in the company hits their supporters with some shocking news. "Ah oh right, your choices doesn't matter we're going to do what we want anyway. It was just to 'gauge interest', sorry we didn't make that clear."
So this causes some SHOULD BE obvious backlash but supporters keep supporting. Some time pass and the small company once again ask for opinions for a new change that came on top of their previous change....

Now on to the question: Judging from the previous experience, would you be in the mindset to think your opinion even mattered enough to voice it?

Again, you don't need to answer the question. However, the answer could help you understand why 90% of all supporters keep silent "for some reason"

You're a good guy, I'll just leave it at that. We see the situation differently, but I respect where you're coming from.

Its strange because i saw they meant the models ''didnt look right'' for the ambience of the game, but honestly seeing how well the cally3d animations featuring a dark place almost og to the games with the cally models on them. i think its a shame they scrapped these since i really liked the idea of the cally models on this kind of game, really liked the animations and as well how kinda hot it feels to have a chick on the dark kinda literally fucking your brains out lmao

We'll see. Personally I don't believe there is much to gain by moving to steam early on because first impressions count for more long term than simply having your game on the store. Fuck it up by releasing too soon and you may get an initial influx of people but it will quickly taper off. I've seen it happen more than once, except this would be the first time that I've seen a game change something for the sake of releasing on steam.

This is more common than you would think and I see this happen more often with games featuring furry characters. I see the position you're in and I'm not really arguing against doing what you feel is best for your game but I just don't want to see it stagnate because while you may retain the supporters you have now you might have difficulty in gaining more if you can't find a solid base to work from. As I said before I wouldn't be giving this thread a second glance if I didn't care about it, I hope that with this next change you can find that base.

We have stable amount of people around us, its all fine. We are NOT stagnating, I work a lot on the game as long as Im not busy with exams crawling on my back. I hope summer will give me even more time to work on than now. All I want to bring for people is something new and various, its all a matter of time as I said and I do listen to what people think about stuff Im doing.

i guess you don't like to read right? they are not using the cally models again, and this game is not abandoned, its just that its completed, the devs are not going to update it, they are making a new game with the new models.
I wasnt even talking about the devs, it was a reply to a guy that made the cheat mod for the game, chill out man, not need to be aggresive like that.

Uh, didn't you guys completely ignore the people the last time? With the whole Discord thing? Why would they complain? if you showed them that it doesn't matter because you will do whatever you want anyway.
Don't missunderstand me, i prefer the decision of making new models but i understand the people getting annoyed.

exactly why voice your opinion if you get hit with the "fuck you we do what we want" anyway?

Changing the characters just to get it on steam when they aint even updated the game in months is wack af. Whats even more wack is what theyre changing just the fazclaire model to. Good thing I checked the most recent couple pages of comments before subscribing

Breaking News.
There will be two games.
Demo version for free people who want to test the game for their PC.
And the full version(with futa in the form of exclusive content, the game gives permission to enable and disable futa content so everyone will be happy).
You can buy the full version either on itcho or patreon. And the last option is to buy the game in steam by the end of the year.
In fact when you buy the game you get a beta version of the game and the full version will come out it in Steam (with all the content).
After the game comes out, perhaps will do more content (but it's not for sure).
So wait for the release at the end of the summer or winter full version without bugs.
The game will cost anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars (probably on patreon will be more expensive).
And do not forget to support the author, after all, he wants to finish the game.
The weight of the game starts from 1.5 and more gigs

But wait for the trailer in mid-summer.
Daga Kotowaru!

Do not purchase this until it's 100% complete, try the free version and if it's to your liken wait until it's full release. If you choose to support them on patreon, support them intelligently. If they once again have a ADHD moment and wish to change the models/settings/etc. out of nowhere, discontinue support until they are back to the same level development wise as they were beforehand.

For the love of god be a smarter supporter and don't shamelessly sing the praises of devs for the hell of it. This way we can curb this stigma of quick cash grab devs who never deliver. Being excited is good but be smart as well.
