The patch on github is both the updates for the game (at time of this comment, updates to 1.0.8) and the translation. If you don't apply the patch, the game is still 1.0.0

How do I get more Spirit Thread? I don't see it in the Material Acquisition Map, and I haven't seen it in any shopkeeper inventories, either.

Great, the new patch caused the red enemies in the first area to disappear. You can see the !!! but its not there so now I can't ambush them.

i guess you mean spirit white tread? it is realy anoying to get. you get it in the 2nd dungeon extreamly rarely when salveging the rocks for materials. the other one is a drop chance when killing the spiders in that dungeon, but it is a pain to get imo, have to tho if you want to upgrade your armor

Is there a way to make the economy harder? Any story requirements for gold are way too low - I can just buy my way out each time. I'm finding it difficult to be lewd out of necessity. Any tips/editing to make the game harder, especially when it comes to money?
edit: no replies so guess not. I'll have to give myself homebrew rules to somehow make money hard to get/keep. I wish these games would have a setting where players can grind. The dungeons are actually enjoyable to go through and I love collecting materials. It's just... common materials are plenty and rare ones are, well, rare (which is great) but why bother crafting with materials when you can just buy whatever you want? As for money, why work in town when dungeons give you stupid amount of gold on the first pass? It sucks the enjoyment out for me by being loaded, negating any reason to act lewd if I can throw money at the problem.

I have not been able to unlock the job at the high end bar despite maxing out everything and having lust level at 34. Is there some other requirement I'm missing?

Wow you can actually soft lock in this game, I hate the Water Dungeon. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to light up ALL of the torches in the dungeon as I swear I went through all floors and lit everything less its in some hidden wall.
PSA also dont lower the water level then go to the first floor, warp to the 4rd then backtrack as it looked like a torch was unlit. Once you go back to the 2nd floor congratulations you soft locked yourself. Ugh my lewd grind

Overall, I really had a lot of fun with this game.
What I'd like to see added/adjusted...
The most important adjustment overall is a better translation. I have great respect for the translator taking on this task and providing us with such a playable translation of the game, but I look forward to playing again when it is complete and accurate. There was significant progress made in the time it took me to play the game.
Other things...
1. More Meryl and more Phils content. They are really cute characters and it seems like they are underused. I was hoping to see some possibility of Phils getting gradually corrupted.
2. Slums content. Other than getting molested there isn't much going on there.
3. Beach Bar content. It is a potential corruption location but as it is there is zero to do there. I'd like a bit more beach content overall.
4. Way fewer Materials. What is the point of so many materials that are never required? Just give us the essential ones, the rest are just tedium.
5. A better idea how the various types of sexual corruption work and what Rain needs to be doing to develop them. I hope this gets better via updates.
6. Separate defeat sex scenes for all the bosses. As it is currently, when you lose to some bosses you get the same defeat scene that you get from losing to lower level enemies in that dungeon. Bosses should be special scenes.
7. Personally, I'd have liked more dialogue (and inner dialogue) showing Rain falling for Buster.
8. The Peeper and his shy wife...it would have been great if, after it was "solved" Rain was able to go back later and do some peeping.
9. More human enemies with more human enemy sex scenes.
