I’ve never encountered the same issue as you when exporting files using UAssetGUI. Which version of UAssetGUI are you using?

And if you want to translate faster, I recommend creating an automatic translation tool using Gemini on Google AI Studio with Gemini API Key.

Here’s the tool I built to translate a bunch of JSON files using AI Studio.
All you need to do is put a Gemini API key into it, drop your file in, and click the translate button — that’s it!
My tool currently supports Input Chinese/Japanese and Ouput Vietnamese/English. I can share it with you if you’d like.

It's a issue that I just faced since is my first UE game I've translated, I think is related to a mapping file being required, the issue persist not when exporting but when importing the file back to .uasset from .json, I was forced to do a manual translation since i needed to modify directly the .uasset file without exporting, I already have a script for auto-translating but is not that robust so I would appreciate if you shared the tool with me!
edit: also I used latest version 1.0.3 and tried with the experimental

You need Node.js to be able to run it.
Open the terminal in the tool’s folder, then run:

npm install
npm run dev

And then it will give you the local address of the tool
