For the cheat option, assign a smith or seamstress from your slavers or obedient slaves, then you can right click on the camp rolls and select the crafting option. That gives you a menu with the various crafting choices, go top down since the lower options tend to remove upper options. So choosing the modest option removes the type (ranger, rogue, exc.) options listed above it and sets it to random.

Also, you can only cheat crafting you have an assigned person to, not ones that you've bought an encampment upgrade for.
thanks

According to going through the innards of the assignment, you need a former paladin, someone with Magic: Corruption, someone with Magic: Biomancy, and a trainer.
I tried this, first with my main character taking on all the roles but former paladin, then with each role fulfilled by a separate character, no dice. The former paladin was Kiruna the Awakened (maybe I need to enslave and then enslaver a Paladin). Has anybody gotten the 'special' end to work?

As I understand the "former paladin" specifically needs to be the one from another assignement ("Fall of Light" or something like that? idr), enslaved and converted into slaver through the dominance training path. Kiruna doesn't let you shortcut that part - probably lacks the relevant flags etc. and arguably doesn't really fit narratively either.

I'm not completely surprised if she "lacks the relevant flags etc.", but can't see how she "arguably doesn't really fit narratively either", as her in-game description is:

Name: Lady Kiruna the Awakened - Female/Futanari Draenei Wright - Competent Former Paladin

You did read her implied backstory right. Her being a former paladin is related to the whole Wright thingy (y'know, undead abomination etc.) rather than the kinds of debauched shenanigans involved in the capturable paladin which I'd imagine are rather more directly relevant for the whole pokeballing an actual angel thing.

Kiruna generally seems like a fairly chill lady as far as your motley crew of ne'er-do-wells goes rather than a raging deviant.

Funnily enough, I hadn't noticed there was a former paladin protagonist, and it's shit that they don't qualify. But they are, I'm assuming, specifically looking for the paladin half of the "To Hunt A Paladin" quest's spoils.

I haven't been able to properly test because the event hasn't procced for me. But this is what the game's files are telling me. You wanna check it out, you can, because opening the Loaded Dice mod versions in RAGS Editor is fine, because there's no password to open it.

Finally tried it with a THAP former paladin, it does work (but you've got to have the slavers added in the exact right order, it seems). The True Angel that you get as a result seems to be not as impressive in stats as you might imagine from the buildup, and of course cannot be turned into a slaver. I haven't played around with her as yet to see if she has any out-of-the-ordinary impact as a slave.

Damn, I wasn't actually sure it needed the exact right order, so thanks for the confirmation there, and damn, that's actually really annoying! Kinda figured, alas, that she wasn't going to be an ultra special like, I dunno, the Lago'Mae scholar, but hey, things were learned, and I'm slowly getting better at poking into this game's untidy mess of nested IF statements.

Ohgodwhy... Why the hell would you use so many nested IFs?

Well that's a fine kettle of fuck, all that build up for imitation potatoes when you wanted authentic hash browns. Thanks for the heads up hun.

Because the dev is either not a learned coder, or is a shitty coder. (note, I fall within both categories myself, since I know enough to do some things but it's both inefficient and full of bad practices, but I'm also not making money off of it)

if you have a Dom slave (eg the drow matriarch) and get a crit on basic obedience training, you get a Dom... Sub not a Switch. is that a NH thing or a mod thing, I've been fully suckered into playing this mod only now.

NH thing. Sometimes (Dom) doesn't go away when you add (Sub).
In fact only specific checks check if traits should be removed.

Yes, Success for Yourself. I tested again, and this time it just randomly selected one of my teammates to using it, again one who didn't have it. I also have the Yes Men on if that might effect it in some way.
Adding more to this: Apparently the new change to how they separate the magic and advanced traits mean that the game doesn't recognize magic:corruption as the same as corrupter, so you also can't take an advanced follower with Summonee or the assignment trait desolator. This is probably causing some confusion in the game code, although I'm no coder so that's just guess work. This is the .875 LD 4.6 version.

I'm making an assumption here, because I have not found them yet... are crafting assignments and related traits (they are mentioned in the wiki) yet to be implemented or am I just missing something? I have noticed that assigned crafters do not level from xp gained whilst engaged in their respective trades.

I would dearly love to have my Ashe be an artisan and my drider be the seamstress equivalent.

The traits exist, but are rare to get by standard recruitment. If I remember correctly, some specific missions will guarantee them (there's one in the mountains about wrapped in silk or something that you can get a drider slaver IIRC with apparel crafting).

As for crafting missions, those don't exist in the game.

Supposedly just putting someone into the relevant role will eventually teach them the related trait by way of hands-on experience, or that's what the game claims anyway. IDK if that's actually in and WAI.

I've seen it happen, but it can take a while.

To add onto the discussion about the Truly Divine quest(since my question being crossposted was what started it again), I couldn't get it to work right before seeing a guide because I thought a Demi-Angel slaver should have fit the requirements of the first slot just fine, so I never thought to try the Paladin instead until someone here said that's the explicit only option.

Gotta love ambiguously phrased conditionals that are actually far stricter than they might appear.

But then, even household name franchises like Warhammer and D&D have over the years had any number of dubiously phrased rules resulting in bizarre scenarios and still stranger exploits by creatively minded players...

Like someone using immunity to arrows so the opponent throws their dagger instead.
