Hi everybody,
Last week, I created a poll to decide what my next game should be, and the clear winner was No More Homework. I understand that some of you have concerns about the abundance of games set in a school environment. I want to assure you that I’ll try to make my game stand out and ensure it doesn’t feel like a copy of existing ones. Personally, returning to a school setting is very exciting for me. I really enjoyed working on No More Secrets, and now creating a game from a teacher’s perspective feels like a refreshing challenge.
As you might have guessed from the title, I have two potential ideas for the main character. The direction I choose will shape the entire game.
Unlike my last post, I do have a personal favorite this time—mostly because it’s a fresh concept for me. However, I also believe that doing something you genuinely enjoy is crucial.
1. Older Main Character
In this option, you’ll play as a man in his 40s. This brings a unique perspective: he has different life values, sees the world through a more experienced lens, and most importantly, has distinct relationships since he’ll take on the role of the "landlord".
Pros
We can explore different types of relationships that haven’t been covered in my previous games.
Cons
We won’t be able to include all potential relationships within the household, such as having a "landlady". I do not plan to include GILFs in my games.
2. Younger Main Character
In this scenario, you’ll play as a man in his late 20s. This character might relate better to his students due to the smaller age gap. While he’s more mature than the main characters from my previous games, he’s still young and navigating his path in life.
Pros
I now have more experience, allowing me to craft a richer, more engaging story for a younger character.
Cons
It risks feeling repetitive, as it may overlap with themes explored in my previous games.
Let me know your thoughts!
Just to address a potential question upfront: I will not include both characters and let players choose it. Too much work!
Best regards,
Jason

I get it. It's so much harder to pull off a relationship. Especially a harem. Than a will they won't they & some side bitches. But IMHO, no more money just barely got to the interesting part. And now a new game. I'm so very disappointed.

It's called brainstorming. He's just now starting on ideas for his next project, and yall are acting like he's just going to drop No More Money :KEK: Calm down, people.

This has been known for some time now - dev has said that he's coming to the end of No More Money, and starting to think about the next project for when it's finished. So there's no need to be worrying about NMM being "Abandoned", it's looking to be "Completed" soon instead.

No More Money is not done yet. RC plans to fully complete the game before working on a new project

We've seen it happen before...
Seen what exactly before? A dev brainstorming on a new project while actively working on a current one that is nearing completion? Because yeah, that's normal. Very normal. Any creative is going to be thinking about their next project before their active one is done and it is very clear that No More Money is still in very active development. Why on earth do you think that means he's going to abandon it before it finishes? Calm your tits, dude! :KEK:

Quote from the developer:

As you know, Season 4 will be the final season of No More Money. While we’re still some time away from wrapping up this game, I want to avoid the long waits between projects that we’ve had in the past. To make sure we keep things moving smoothly, I’ve decided to begin preparations for my next game now.

I want to assure you that this won't interfere with the development of No More Money. For the time being, I’ll be hiring freelancers to handle certain aspects of the game that I prefer not to focus on myself—such as UI design, game coding, environmental design, and possibly character design as well.

Posting the picture of Saddam Hussein doesn't help your case. We've seen PLENTY in this situation where a game was abandoned.

1) That's not Saddam Hussein :KEK: :KEK: :KEK:

2) VNs are abandoned for a number of reasons. Co-devs leaving the project, poor performance, IRL issues, etc... Who the fuck cares because none of those VNs are No More Money. So your theory is completely baseless. Besides, rarely are successful VNs ever abandoned especially when the Dev has already announced that the project is nearing completion (which he has btw, if you've been paying attention).

Seriously though, what purpose would it serve for RC to abandon NMM at this point when it's almost finished and earning over 5k/mo? Use your fucking brain dude. The very suggestion that he's going to abandon NMM just because he's started brainstorming on his next project is laughably stupid. It's like you're looking for things to mindlessly complain about.

Well then, who the fuck is it?
And devs make money based on them, not on what game...
He's already abandoned 2 games before...

Mhmm Mhmm. 2 other VN projects. Neither could be continued due to a critical developer leaving. The remaining developer decided to focus on one single project to improve on time management. In other words, there were reasons why those games couldn't be continued and No More Money went on to become a hit.

I really don't know why you are so insistent that No More Money will get abandoned. You have precisely zero reason to assume it should, which should come as good news to you... Unless you actually want to see it abandoned, in which case you're only here to troll.

Not to mention that he completed No More Secrets! (Loved the mom and Aunt in that game :) )
