I don't understand one thing this forum allow people to illegally download games so why very often developers are here too??And they don't say anything about it ...
Porn games are a niche, mainstream publishers don't want to spend money on them and platforms like Steam have weird rules that can change any time. Devs don't have any other platform than forums like these to connect with people and grow their playerbase. Not to mention Patreon itself doesn't show adult content on its search and discovery. Plus, Patreon like Steam keeps changing rules and can at any time nuke this content altogether. Where will these creators communicate with people then if they aren't on their discord or something?
Almost all artists and game devs I have supported on Patreon, I found through "piracy" forums. It's more important to build community sometimes than squeeze every little penny out of people.

I was a Daring patron of theirs until last August, so, according to what the dev promised, I should receive the link for the update as well. However, I unfortunately cannot verify this statement, because I've been unable to access my Patreon account for several days, since I no longer receive emails from them for a strange reason (I've opened a support ticket with them but with no answer so far).
I guess you could talk to the dev on discord about it and show past reciepts
