This version is abandoned, since the creator is working on a new version on a better engine. Just they have been going through a lot since 2020, their house burnt down, and a lot of other stuff has happened.
I am hoping that this year will be the year they finally release the new version, so here is hoping

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows, in the beginning and all, does the hero die and the slimegirl take her place as a sort of "daughter" or does the hero become/fuse into the slimegirl due to the other hero spell hitting her while she was a breeder?

iirc she legit dies but part of her soul or whatever got assimilated into the slime in her belly at the time

Last time I checked this out it was onhold. Least its not fully abandoned least from recent comments. Do wonder what Engine they changed over too?? RPGM worked just fine. Seen to many games trying to "improve" themselves with a flashier engine just to be even worse than the original.

It is the next RPG Maker Engine, which has better plugins. I believe what is taking so long is they are also doing a lot of rewriting and their life got a lot busy after 2020 when their house burnt down. They are releasing tester versions on discord though

No just that the creator has been very busy since 2020, and has not had a lot of time and mental energy to do much. They have slowly been releasing new test version on their discord though

this page on f95zone at this point has been long since abandoned however non-monstrus on patron only version has already released the full game this form just hasn't been updated in like 5ish years now
