There are already plenty of Harem games out there already.sucks that the games that always have the best lineup of characters just seemingly are never harem.

So naturally I'm writing the game a specific way (and have an ideal way everyone would play, in theory), and am designing it to be intriguing to do multiple playthroughs, but to me as long as people enjoy the game I don't mind how they play. Unlocker, mod to make all paths available, whatever other options there might be idk. As long as you're enjoying what your playing that's what I care most about.I don't even hate the concept of a more grounded story, I just personally don't want to have to sit there and play each path. But ay, power of a gallery unlocker.
that has nothing to do with what I said lol i'm not complaining about lack of harem gamesThere are already plenty of Harem games out there already.
I'm ok with that!Dare I wish for a Bobbie and Bonnie threesome?
Good thing you can replay and get all the paths. I can see how it could get annoying, though if your saves breaksucks that the games that always have the best lineup of characters just seemingly are never harem.
That's what is gonna happen to Intertwined {again} the Dev is gonna break allGood thing you can replay and get all the paths. I can see how it could get annoying, though if your saves break
To address your point about not much changing in some games when soloing, I'd like to think that there's going to be value in playing multiple paths here. Both ch2 and ch3 for instance have completely divergent paths (although they still fall under the once you've seen it once you probably would skip through the next time), and I'm trying my best to make choices matter even just by altering dialogue (how a character reacts to you).I am fine with this game not being harem or other games too. I hate when people say harems are unrealistic(media as a whole is), or lack of character devlopment, and so forth for harem games, cause it makes them seem ignorant to me.
But I am fine with no harem in this game, I play all types of games. I think my biggest issue though, is two things. First it feels like I will never truly explore the whole game, cause too many routes, and their are other things in life and other games. So its sad to skip possible girls paths.
The other thing is, after the first playthrough, it feels like solo route games become ctrl+skip simulators. Just hold skip till you see like one or two new scenes cause really not much changes half the time it feels like.
Maybe this game will be different, we'll see, I certainly hope so.
This was on my mind while making ch3, when I realized I'd inevitably run into a situation where saves would break. I could have coded around it for this release, there were ways of making things work with people's old saves, but the writing was on the wall. So I figured get it out of the way now so people have half a chance of catching back up. (and also because it took me another year to get an update out that I figured a lot of people might play from the start again anyway to refresh their memory)Good thing you can replay and get all the paths. I can see how it could get annoying, though if your saves break
Yeah, I get it and I do think you are doing a pretty good job, haven't played ch.3 yet, will soonish. I think my comment was directed a bit at the people who kept saying harems are pointless or lack character development and so forth and just explaining some issues with solo route games sometimes. To address your point about not much changing in some games when soloing, I'd like to think that there's going to be value in playing multiple paths here. Naturally, there's going to be a fair amount of railroading in the game, too. While I would love to give the player complete autonomy, I do have a story I'm trying to tell. So I'm going to force some level of interaction with certain characters, because the MC establishing at least a strong friendship with them if you're not on their path is critical to certain moments in the story.
It is a bit of a balancing act, though, to try and make sure your giving enough freedom to the player while also giving enough information/context/character development no matter what choice they make, if that makes sense, idk
I think the main reason for that is that most harem games just throw dozens of girls at you...like man, there is no way any dev can make good, interesting LI's with depth, character growth, relationship devolpment ect for that many girls and a good story of course...honestly, many harem games don't even try, they just throw x girl for x fetish etc.I am fine with this game not being harem or other games too. I hate when people say harems are unrealistic(media as a whole is), or lack of character devlopment, and so forth for harem games, cause it makes them seem ignorant to me.
Yeah, harem games that suck are sucky games, just like non-harem games that suck are sucky games. A harem game can have a good story and so can a non-harem game. I think that the problem with non-harem games are the assumption that you are fine with playing the exact same story over again with just a different girl. That isn't compelling to me. Payback: you need to vote for Lucy at the twerk off contest and accept her help with nude, then flirt with her in the gym in Ch3.View attachment 5143450
How to unlock the last two scenes?
Payback - you need 2 (maybe more) points to get the Lucy nude photo back when you're collecting nudes for the frat. And when you go to the gym and Lucy steps in with the Jock douches, choose flirt option twice.View attachment 5143450

After seeing your comment, Ava immediately came to mind. Maybe Ava and Joey's relationship from this game gave me the idea, slightly modified of course? I wouldn't be surprised, and others have already mentioned that Joey might be gay. In that case, I would have a guess as to who the other guy is, but I won't say that. In any case, such a possibility would reassure Ava fans...I'm not gonna lie, when making the game I've naturally taken some inspiration from BaD
