Good question. Similar reasons as to why I didn't start a Patreon for the first two releases, I just don't feel like I've earned the right to charge quite yet. I considered doing a week paid access for this release, but as it's more of a bridging update between ch3 and ch4 I felt like I should keep it as a free release again. I will most likely do a more traditional release structure for the next update.
Also, at the moment I'm prioritizing as many people being able to play the game as soon as possible. I'd like to do that for the future, and if enough people support I'll still keep doing immediate free releases, but, yes, I'd like to turn this into a more viable source of income some day so I am likely going to start pushing free releases back in the future. I'll never do tiered releases, though, that I really hate. It'll be any sub tier gets the update as soon as it's ready, with a free release a week later, something like that.
Edit, also this place is the most active community r.e. talking about the game, and reading people's thoughts etc. is my absolute favorite thing to do, so the least I feel I can do at this stage is give back to the community by keeping the game free as much as I reasonably can!

I hope everything works out well and we will get many more updates of this great story in the future, its really rare for me to like THIS MANY LI's and even the MC (not gonna lie, i hate/dislike the MC in like 80% of all avns).

Thanks, that means a lot. Always happy to hear people like the MC too, obviously a lot of games are pretty much all about the LIs, but for me the MC is the game here with regard to the overarching story, and generally I'm really excited to be getting closer to the big story beats that I've got planned, which are contingent pretty much on the reader being invested in the MC. So it's nice to know I'm doing a good job with his character!

Small thing, but any plans to add a canonical name for the MC, other than "Blank" lol? Could c Will, Owen, maybe Finn. Johnny? Andrew/Drew? But just thought of it cuz in discussions of RoL or Unbroken, people always refer to the MC as their names, Jake and Valentine respectively and idk, I feel like it adds a little bit. Just having a canonical name helps to view the MC as more of a real, genuine character, rather than just a stand-in. Even tho it's kinda arbitrary, just psychologically helps (me at least).

No there's no canon name in my head. I have a name I use on playthroughs, but it's not their official name. I do understand your point but it was never something I particularly decided on. In some ways I felt like leaving him without a canon name felt more fitting to his story.

Just by virtue of him being ur character, u know more of his story than we do lol but that thought did briefly cross my mind. At least with him seemingly frequently moving and stuff, and although he tells Bobbie that he never rlly fit in anywhere, he still probably would've had to assume different pseudo identities with all the changing environments. Still though, amidst all that, maybe the one constant is his name and his inner fortitude. Not to get all dark but aren't these stories from US slavery (or other atrocities) about how the most sacred thing and the last thing people can still keep "ownership" of is their name?
Knowing the story u plan to tell, u might still disagree but I think these r at least decent considerations

Kind of odd, seeing a title called "Not Going Back" with multi love interests and no harem path. So MC (the player) has to keep (not) going back in order to experience the any of other love interest paths.
If this had a harem path, the title would then fit with "not going back".

searching through post i gather this one is hard no-harem game, but is it solos only or there are some possible trouples? i mean - i can see twins tag with some twins on title image or you have to choose even between those?

One guy memeing the name of the game and another asking if throuples are a possibilty or just solo paths isn't something I'd consider to be flooded with troll comments or the "usual harem complaints".
