Don't know how Deb treats a sub MC, but in the Dom path she's a very nice person and a really good friend.
yeah been awhile since I played while Deb isn't the nicest LI out of the bunch compared to someone like Jen she seemed very respectful and probably for the most part get along with everyone but the vile witch Kim.

The mods can make exceptions (as it says in the rule) but they don't really apply here. What I'm saying is that four months of no contact is nothing when it comes to adult games :p
Nah i disagree, 4 months very much qualifies for an abondonment tag. Its really not hard to make a single patreon post or something similar.

If a dev cant even be assed to do that, he deserves to have his game marked as abandoned here very much.

But the only one who can truely abandon it is himself, its not like the f95 rules decide that for him lol

He can publish a update anytime and the tag will be lifted but i honestly doubt that he minds it, it maybe even reduces the pressure on him when people deem it abandoned

The abandoned tag is automatic when it's been a while without the devs presence in the forum, taking an active roll aswell as uploading new content. MrSL has taken a less than active stance (probably out of self preservation since he did not respond well to the feedback in this forum). Add to that no update in a while and the abandoned tag was a given.

As far as I know there has been no remark in any forum from MrSL that he has abandoned development (although there has been very little communication at all since he paused billing).

I therefore still have hopes of a new update and the continuation of the game. Although as I stated before I fear the update cycles will become longer for each new update.

Well I said before that the devs development cycles always had long periods without communication, so I am not concerned by that. But I am however concerned that he posted we should expect an update/more communication half of january. Now it is one month later without any communication.

The one thing i find funny about this is the fact the dev has to be online on patreon at least in a limited compacity as he needs to login to pause billing each month so he could of easily made a quick proof of life/development post over there but so far its been complete radio silence on all forums.

Yea...Since he's juggling two games and diving into AI generation, he might have already abandoned the old one. But I am here waiting with hope.

This does give me hope this isn't actually abandoned though. The dev has mentioned before that he can sometimes go radio silence in order to get things done, but if he is pausing at least he is alive.

I check out the new game the dev was working on. On principle you just cant allow yourself to play that game because fuck AI slop. Its a shame that this game got left beehind.

It's pretty unusual for people to go radio silent, he must get overwhelmed so he disconnects so he can focus. I really like this game a lot and I hope the dev finds the inspiration to finish it.

Also, good on him for pausing billing. A lot of devs don't do that.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but nothing to do but wait and see.

Let's hope the dev releases at least one more full update. It's a real pity if this game gets abadoned like that.

I don’t know why there are people still defending him.

Guys… he took people money, so he should be responsible for delivering, communicating, and comitting. At least communication is the minimum thing he can do.

Pausing the billing on Patreons doesn’t prove any thing. If you still think that it’s ok to go radio silent and that’s how things should work here and Patreons, like people paying and accepting the risks when donating, well, that’s your decision but not for me…

It's in the name, patreon was originally envisioned as a way for regular people to become patron of artists. That is, support them financially. It's not technically a marketplace, when you pledge to someone on Patreon you should not necessarily expect something in return. The developer has been transparent that he wanted to take a break, paused billing, and gave a target date (which admittedly he missed). He's also provided anyone who pledged $15 or more (lifetime) a key to the game. The last thing you can accuse this particular developer of is an attempt to milk patrons.

Considering that the next chapter is the second to last and supposed to be the largest, the high point of most plotlines, the peak overall and starting to resolve everything for the final chapter and epilogue, it makes sense that this takes the longest time to develop. It also abstains from splitting, so it would take longer than if its just released on one earlier half. I'd give him some slack. In exactly three months we are one year from full chapter 7, if there isn't even an update post, that would be my definition of abandoment. If you make a product available to the mass and charge for it, there is a certain expectation and etiquette to uphold to give your customers some insight and transparency. A bit of a higher standard than some random posting the first chapter of a fanfic and then leaving it.

If you take money every months, you have the moral duty to post at least once a month to inform patrons imo. But in this case, since he doesn't take money for a while, he's entitled to stop any day. The common decency would be to inform the audience if you definitely stop to develop the game though.
