Cucking games stopping midway development is the purest form of cucking.I'm never going to get to see some big hung stud creampie Jen, am I?

It's fine, they have an AI card game instead, surely that's better.. or something.>abandoned

Sure, but even if you DO want to make an elite card game, you don't just roll out of bed and fashion it from scratch. You need to spend time making mediocre games to learn how to do it right. And to be fair to MrSL, I doubt he was aiming to make something truly elite, he was probably just trying to make a fun doodle and decided to share it with the rest of the world. There's nothing wrong with that, even if it's not how we'd prefer he use his time.I mean yeah, Slay the Spire IS awesome, the thing is you dont create anything comparable to it as a little side project, you will either have to dive in really deep and make it creative and complex which is not easy to create (and probably not really what most adult fans here are looking for) or you will create a kinda cheap garbage card game really nobody needs
I stoped playing since december. Have around 100 games waiting. Sometimes I come back here to see if at least one is finished. Just found one abandoned.I'm never going to get to see some big hung stud creampie Jen, am I?

It's still paused on patreon, so I didn't lost all hopes yet.Is he still pausing payments? if so, then at least he's still got the game on his mind imo.
Well, my understanding of the back story is this:
MrSilverLust was (and probably still is) a big fan of Slay the Spire. After he released chapter 6, he was feeling like he needed a break from NIF. So he decided to try making a card battle style game as small side project for fun, and also experiment with the new AI tools to learn more about them. After he got to a certain point with Decked in Love he released it as a kinda preview (for free), then he went back and did another two releases of NIF, chapter 7 part 1 and 2, and then a released a minor update for DIL in Sept'24. After that we have not really heard anything more about either game.
So It's not as though this small side project is the specific reason that NIF has not had a release for ~10 months. And there is no public information suggesting that MrSL is currently working on Decked In Love now - he seems to have just gone to ground completely.
I honestly hope MrSL is not having troubles in the "real world", and this hiatus is just "normal" burnout from putting so much of his energy in NIF for 3 years straight. I'm grateful for the chance to work with hin, and of course I'm sad that we can't see the continuation or conclusion, but ... that's just the way it goes.
Well, I'd say to not attribute to malice what could easily be attributed to ineptitude.Nah, Like most other devs of these types of games that get very popular... he simply made more than enough $$$ to no longer concern himself with finishing what he started. It is currently a plague in this genre, sadly. I personally never believe when all theses devs come with these lame sob stories, 'i was sick but now better' 'my dog died' 'I was trapped on a Somalian pirate ship for two years'. Im too cynical to buy that crap.
The truth is... They will eventually be back to stringing folks along with remakes or shallow content updates when they notice their bank accounts have dipped just far enough.
Seems unlikely in this case as he seemed to capped out at $650-800/month before fees and tax, not exactly FU money.. burn out seems more likely imho. Not close to enough money to make it worth pushing yourself for.Nah, Like most other devs of these types of games that get very popular... he simply made more than enough $$$ to no longer concern himself with finishing what he started. Hmm, I totally assumed this game was much more successful than it was. But to be fair... You forget, it IS on Steam. So, idk maybe it is just burn out. But TBH i was venting more so about the devs that regularly pull these stunts... and theres no shortage of them.Seems unlikely in this case as he seemed to capped out at $650-800/month before fees and tax, not exactly FU money.. burn out seems more likely imho. You have no fucking idea what you are talking about.Nah, Like most other devs of these types of games that get very popular... he simply made more than enough $$$ to no longer concern himself with finishing what he started. Well if you release a game on steam, I think you have the moral obligation to finish the game and communicate if something is happening or not happening. It is no longer a freespirited hobby at that point but a (side)business. This is just another reason not to buy something before it is finished. You have no fucking idea what you are talking about.
Can you show us on the teddy bear the places where the big bad hobbyist developers "stole" your money? Ohhh, I see, you never contributed anything to this game, financial or otherwise... you just have hurt little feeeelings because you want more more more but can't get it.
Come back when you actually contribute something to the world other than childish entitlement.
100% agree but in that case he paused the donationsI wont talk about subjective opinions.
Except he’s really sick or dead, he should have a clear communication and committment with the deliveries. That’s the minimum obligation that he should do when receiving donations.
People don’t donate for free. We donate for a cause and for a reason. Even with charity, we expect transparency and committment as well…
I understand. However, I assumed that from the latest release to the date he paused the subscription, he already earnt some amount, so informing users is necessary. The only exception is that he doesn't take a penny since the latest release.100% agree but in that case he paused the donations
