i don't like playing games, being invested in the story continuation, and then later down the line finding out it's abandoned.
on the other hand, i'm fine playing already abandoned games when i know from the get-go it's already abandoned though.

The odd thing about it is the dev has gone completly radio silent for quite some time which isn't unusal for this dev though not normally this long, yet still logs into patreon each month to pause billing my guess is there is probably something going on in their private life thats delayed development of the game and they don't want to post about it.
I don't really want to know about his personal life man. I just want to know if the game will be continued or not, ha ha...

It had one of the best sharing scenes I have ever seen too.
I certainly wouldn't buy it now, that's for sure. But if you download for free off here, well, tbh I probably wouldn't do that if I was just starting now either. This game hangs its hat on the writing, meaning if you get invested in the writing you won't get closure. But the actual adult scenes in a vacuum are rather poor IMO, so you can't just play for that either. So either you get invested in the writing and will be unhappy it's abandoned or you won't enjoy the game at all in the first place, wasting your time entirely.
There's at least 10+ hours of content here, it's a good amount. Although that also depends on how much of it you want to discover too, if you're only interested in one playthrough I think it's about half that, not sure. If you're a completionist, it's likely at least 15+ hours. I think I was well over 30 hours in my previous save, and I know I'd gotten over 90% completion rate, but I don't recall exactly how much. There is quite a lot, a lot of dialogue variations.
This is still a top 5 F95zone game, although it's hard to rank with it's incomplete status. But most of the games on here are abandoned and most never even reach this level so...
Still, you can find new games in the past year to scratch your itch easily if you want. They won't be complete either, probably, but they will do different things you might like. The writing probably won't reach this one's level but the renders and stuff or choices might be more in line with a quick play. Again the writing is its strength and weakness, many of us want to see payoffs and got invested. That's why people are frustrated and/or disappointed or whatever. It's been a long running game for a lot of people on here and to have it just left dangling like this is unfortunate. But odds are it won't get another update, and even if it does it probably won't get completed. That's just the odds though, we can all hope otherwise.
