I understand where you come from, but still there is a few things I want to clarify. I didn’t have a patron before I released 0.1 and only actually plan on announcing it with 0.2. Also, I made a patreon because it was recommended to me to do so since it takes time to make a game, time that without a patreon just wouldn’t be worth or make sense to spend. All that said, the game is still free for people to enjoy. Have a good day and if you play the game I hope you enjoy it.
I'm going to sound like even more of an asshole than my last sanctimonious comment: That isn't a business mindset. Rome wasn't built in a day, etc, etc.
To be frank, you should've had a patreon before 0.1 or no patreon at all. It's not a good look for a developer to not have a plan. Ya can't sell someone on a powered screwdriver with "Well, it might screw in a screw...?".
Consumer confidence is a pretty important aspect of any product and I'm not trying to maliciously critique you. The game is/was good, you just didn't give folks enough bait to bite onto.
1). Give enough initial content that folks can sink their teeth into(jack/jill off to)
2). Advertise. F95 isn't the only porn game website.
3). Consistent updates. There are far too many games taking the piss and going 3+ months with only bug fixes and losing hundreds of subscribers.
4). $$$
There are hundreds, if not thousands of people willing to throw 1-5 bucks at you a month if you can convince 'em on this site alone. It's up to you to capitalize on that, communicate with the (hehe)community, and learn from failed projects.
As it is, it's like every Russian QSP game that's slightly less of a pain in the ass(grind) and still somehow tries to reinvent "I wonder how an exo-suit that can rotate 180 degrees with a living human inside will work out". Small Ironman reference, been binging marvel movies because I'm still waiting on my vaccine and have nothing better to do.
