But the birth control, some women use for other reasons than sex. I've known more than one who took it to regulate their periods even when they were not sexually active.
Yes that's true but Sydney mentioned later she had an IUD inserted like 2 yrs prior rather than using BC pills.
At least it's more realistic given the story because all the BC pills would run out eventually.
But I don't think she was that socially awkward in the past but maybe became that way after the shtf.
Would have been nice to have more of her past shown as she is one of the characters I really like.

Fair point, it's been a while so I forgot she was using an IUD. Also, she did have the "Red Hot Doc" trampstamp so I can't really imagine her being all that awkward before the zombie apocalypse destroyed her socialization.
Fun game and nice and long too.
Different kind of story was quite refreshing for a change.
Quite odd that Sydney was another one to get pregnant even with an IUD.
Although I know they aren't 100% safe so it's not all that surprising.
Kinda wished the MC could have made Alice pregnant too as I think she would have been overjoyed.
Ellie's fate was quite sad/bad and I would have preferred her to have lived instead.

The current DarkAssassin mod is valid only for v0.99. It will break things if you're playing the newer v1.0.
I updated his mod unoficially here: https://f95zone.to/threads/now-then-v1-00-0-ilsproductions.51634/post-13471610 , fixing a couple of things that were broken in his previous release. My version should work fine with the v1.0 Director's Cut

Not an error. It was like that on purpose, and that feature is a large part of the point of the mod - it's to enable the player to see every path without requiring multiple playthroughs. So, for myself and I imagine a lot of other players, what you've done here isn't really helpful. :-\ (Especially if seeing your post, but not reading it closely, and thinking you'd already handled it is the reason DarkAssassin hasn't updated.)

Just to be clear, I didn't "broke" it, but purposely removed it from the mod
I do know it was a feature of the original Mod by DarkAssassin, but after revisiting the code further, I can confirm that this feature was broken anyway on his original mod for v0.99 (and it seems it has been broken in fact for quite some time for the looks of the code). It was messing scenes that were not part of the intended events, and were omitting scenes that were supposed to happen. Also it left your character on a incoherent state in a different time point of the game than when the scenes were supposed to actually happen. That's why I removed those options, and opted to follow the "official" game flow. I tried to fix them, but it seems that the feature was based or designed around a much older version of the game code, and I was unable to properly trace and link the exclusive paths with the current source code files.
Also, just as a side note, and even when that feature was working, it allowed you to see both scenes on those "exclusive" choices at the time of the choice, but the game was marked in a way that it believed you always followed the second scene of the two shown, but not the first one; this had implications on future interactions with the characters and further scenes and events along the game plot. So you would be missing content anyway. That feature won't prevent you from having to do several playthoughs to unlock all content if that's your objetive. Smart saving before each choice was still required to watch all content.
So, for the time being and until Dark Assassin properly updates his mod, this is what it is. Sorry.

Out of the (fully)finished Ren'Py games(using Honey Select for characters) on this site, sure.
As of me writing this response, the game's rated just shy of 4.5/5, with hundreds of reviews. That's about as high a rating as a person is likely to see.

Game is good, but definitely not underrated hidden. This was last updated March 2024, if there are more people new, they have to come from somewhere. Heck, I found this game sometime mid summer filtering game by "Complete" and "Rating: descending" and it's only on the 2nd page. That's only 23 game rated higher, and the other are firmly established game on the site like "Once in a lifetime","Katawa Shoujo","Mist", etc that set their rating firm since 2017-2022.
That mean this game is top 24 game of all complete game on the site. Ain't no mean underrated.

Just finished my first play of this game. I really enjoyed it. I would not have had the same outcome for Emmie if it was my game... But it is what it is. The ending was ok, don't like that Hana is not living in the town... only takes 1 bandit to catch her off guard. I think it would have been nice if all the girls got knocked up
Don't know why the MC did not give "The Ring" to Carol... seems odd.
I really liked Sydney a great deal... almost didn't continue playing when she was left behind for a while... But it worked out.
Overall the game was good. I am glad I got to play it.

IIRC, she was caught in the woods by an infected and turned. MC had to kill her to keep her from killing her grandfather (the sheriff.)
