Just finished this story. It's great, but could be better. The dev focuses too much on the porn side of the story and cause the main story to suffer for it. It starts strong, introducing the player what's going on slowly. However, as the story progresses to Part 2, I realize the zombie lore in this game is just too weak to be taken seriously. They should be expanded to form a horde, bcuz that's the true danger of any zombie stories. No, cities won't fall apart from this lv of threat, despite how the dev insists on it. Lol, if any cities collapse from this, they deserve to reset and get conquered by a more competent nation. The horde concept should be introduced at Part 2, causing the school to collapse, but nope, just fire.
Then, the feminist utopia concept is cool, but sadly, it got skipped probably to focus on porn, since the MC would stay outside most of time. Personally, I think it's a missed opportunity to expand on the ganghood concept. There are already hints about bandits working together to take down this "trophy", but it's mostly glossed over. Plus, the MC wouldn't have to leave Sydney Best Girl behind. I guess that's why I start to dislike most of Part 3.
As for part 3, it'd be better to focus on the danger side of the road trip, but instead, it's mostly repetitive sex scenes. The entire trip is just too smooth, barely any danger. No one tries to rob the group at gun point, no wild dangerous animals, like starving dog pack, etc. There are only hints of danger here and there. It's so safe that the trip can be skipped and just fast travel to the mansion. At least, the introduction of Hana is more interesting than the entire trip itself.
Lastly the mansion and White Oak, I feel this part suffers a lot for the sake of sex scenes. The MC not fixing the car asap makes no sense at all, but he wants to keep riding bikes for some reasons. However, he can keep teleporting between the two places as if he's driving a car, although the dev said it's an hour ride from bikes. Then, there is Emmie death which is unearned. I repeat. THE EMMIE DEATH IS UNEARNED!! It's a cheap shock value device, that just shows the dev running out of ideas to surprise people. Also, the defense mechanics in White Oak is not explained well. Like, why are they not setting up zombie traps at the town border? A simple wall of Hana's "cheval de defrise" can protect the town and could have saved Emmie's life, just saying.
Still, the dev manages to wrap everything up and end the story properly. The ending is great; the dev tries to make the harem ending as realistic as possible without going out of whack. (Tbh, unrealistic harem should be fine either, since the story by itself is already going unrealistic, but it's what it is.) In my playthru, I got Carol and Syd pregnant with a bonus Hana admiting pregnant at last scene. I might replay it in the future, but the writing is quite wordy makes it a bit exhausting to read. Overall, it's a great VN, one of the best to completion.
2 weeks later...
I decide to give this game another go with a guide this time. My opinion about the story plots mostly stay the same as above; however, I'll give credits that the devs really try their best to offer every bit of various dialogue changes based on past choices or scores, even if it's redundant. I can't imagine how much effort that would take. Still, part 3 is definitely the weaker part of the game. Trading Sydney screentime for Alice and later Hana makes me want to click the exit button every time. These 2 characters don't make up for what's lost. The Alice drama is dull, to me at least. Hana might be interesting, but she comes rather late in the story, not enough buildup. It's a shame that Hana and Sydney have barely any interactions with each other, since they are in similar situations yet come with different perspectives and attitudes.
But don't get me wrong. Despite of my complaints, this game is honestly one of the best completed game I've played on this site.
