Yeah, have to admit, I was kinda hoping MC would pick her up in some fashion, but I also understand why that didn't happen, story-wise.

Never. It's so tightly woven in that Carol is adopted that a patch to make her his own daughter would just make no sense.

I get it, but there was some path that changed the way she called us. From player name to "dad" or "daddy". It was in sex scenes she used "daddy" and it was hot and it was scripted that in some dialog she call us that and in others just our name so it was balanced and didn't fuc*ed the story....
I could swear that "patch" was here when game was still in development.... or maybe it was different game?... I have no idea.

If you chose incest play, you would have some moments in the future where the MC and Carol would roleplay the chosen kink.
Choosing incest play could lead to the 'dad/daddy' commentary you mentioned.
I don't know if this = all the dad/daddy commentary you found but it explained the different kinks when they happened later in my playthroughs.

I just finished my playthrough of the Director's Cut, and it was just as amazing as I remember my playthroughs of the version before it. I'm predictably craving something similar, so if anyone has any recs I'd greatly appreciate them. I've played a lot of AVNs, so feel free to give a fair number of recs so hopefully there are some I haven't played.

goddamn, what a fantastic VN, spent the past few days slowly chewing through it and finally finished up, honestly really enjoyed this, props to the creator, thanks for a good read
This is probably the best "Zombie" adult game period. The story is well done, the characters are engaging and the fact that there are multiple endings is fantastic.
There are some things in the game that I personally do not like, mostly because I am a big softy when it comes to girls. So I was heartbroken to see the fate of Emmie, I probably would have had the MC actually save her. And not because I wanted her as a LI, just thought it would be nice for the girls to know her and be like a big sisters.
And maybe a pregnancy path for each of the LI's.
But anyway great game.

I have a suggestion to make, dunno if this mod will ever be updated but I figure it doesn't hurt to at least make a post about it: even though I'd prefer having the option to do both scenes in cases where there's not really any reason you couldn't conceivably do both, at the very least I'd like to be more explicitly informed when a mutually exclusive scene is present.
For example in chapter 12, you have a choice to either go visit Naomi in the gym, or Carol in the west wing. You do end up visiting both girls, but you only get an h-scene with whoever you visit first, and just some normal dialogue with the girl you visit second. However the game (or mod) just labels the choice as "Head to the gym (Naomi)" and "Head to the west wing (Carol)."
I almost missed the fact that there were mutually exclusive scenes here because after I was done with Naomi and went to visit Carol, I quicksaved and then I loaded my save back at the choice to see if it played out the same if you chose to visit Carol first, and since the first half of the scene does play out the same, I almost just loaded back to my quicksave, thinking I'd already seen everything. But I happened to be autoskipping and the Carol scene ended up changing.
So my suggestion would be to just make that choice and others like it more explicit. Have the options be "Head to the gym (Dialogue and h-scene with Naomi, then just dialogue with Carol)" and "Head to the west wing (Dialogue and h-scene with Carol, then just dialogue with Naomi)" or something like that. That'll make it more clear that you should definitely save at this choice and see both outcomes.
Additionally, it'd be nice if the mod pointed out choices that affect specific scenes or unlock variants. Like when you're playing Questions back in the apartment, selecting the "Schoolgirl play" option unlocks a schoolgirl scene variant with Carol at the aforementioned west wing scene. That kind of thing would be nice to know ahead of time.
One last thing I noticed in this same area - if you go to Naomi first, when you start talking to her about Sydney, the "She seems all right" option is in green text to indicate the optimal choice, and the "Your call. You're a grown woman" option has a green [Lesbian Choice] note on it to presumably indicate that you get some more interesting content from this choice. HOWEVER, if you visit Carol first and then see Naomi, neither of these choices are shown any preference by the mod. Both options at both choices are just plain white.

It has been a while, but if I remember correctly, to get the NTR ending you must reach the endgame without any main lover whatsoever. So even if you break up with Carol, if you keep for example Naomi as lover (or Sydney, or Alice... any of the main girls will do, even Hana) you should be able to see the ending with Carol just as a stepdaughter but on "good terms" without any NTR involved.
