By the way Spicychat putting additional censorship is bad, very bad. Any time any form of censorship is put on bots, they become more lobotomized. So I really don't understand all that strive for censorship.
You can try that on your own bot, put any kind of censorship (that's actually done by putting a prompt in the character card)... and you'll see how the bot will become "braindead" much faster. That's why all the bots brake down like that, they try so hard to "adhere" to the censorship, they're becoming like zombies. That means you will be cut off with the usual "nonsense" the moment the bot suspects you're doing something which is not allowed (even if you're not actually doing such a thing).
I was considering trying Spicychat, but the first "thing" I see on their site is about adding more censorship, which is a big no no for me, even though I rarely (if even) engage in said conversations with bots. (Siblings fucking each other (related or unrelated) is not my fetish, yet I strongly oppose any censorship, especially in private conversations, because it's a slippery slope. We've been there already in the middle ages, and it's not nice to repeat this mistake again. Freedom of though is important, also adult people should make a difference between fantasy scenarios and reality.)
I'm pretty sure the AI itself isn't censored. They just ban the bots who are labelled as incest. But you can take a random bot, tell her she's your mother sister and it will work most of the time.

Kindroid its the best option for me. Feels like you are talking to a real person with a decent memory and you can have a free trial for 3 days with unlimited messages.
Paradot its also a decent choice

I've been using Kindroid a lot for the past couple of months. Both free and paid version. The paid version has solid memory by current standards (It will still forget things that are not written in background/key memory or some 15-30 replies away). What Kindroid has going for it is that the AI stays fairly true to its personality and seems more alive than other AI chats I've tried. It should also be noted that Kindroid does not have any censorship as far as I know, and has an excellent selfie generator and a rich Discourse channel. The main problem with Kindroid is that it requires the user to tame the AI to talk in his style, and the AI changes style every so often. If someone finds it expensive to subscribe, I think even the free version is quite good.

I the discovered the whole AI topic 2 week ago.
Started with Soulgen.ai. The NSFW chat is possible but i get a error input ~10-15% of the time and need to rephrase it. Not sure what causes this but its annoying. After i saw Soulgen go SFW with theyre faceswap and AI generator tool i abandoned ship for good.

3 Days ago i switched to kindroid.ai and are now a happy kindroid premium enjoyer. The AI is great even if you are a noob. It answers nearly everything in a acceptable way and if youre not satisfied you can instantly edit your input/ehat you wrote to give it another chance at responding. Your AI starts with some cornerstone information from you and as you keep talking with it it build up some key memories you can enter and edit yourself.
Also it comes with a AI Selfie generator tool, Text to speech in your AI chat and even an audio call feature.
For me it also was important that there were safe ways to pay premium. You just can buy premium with Googleplaystore money inside the app thats listed in the store.
But what really convinced was the statement the Devs posted on DC a few days ago. They believe in "free" AI and created this project because they were frustrated by all the restrictions a censored AI brings with it. That really hit my nerve as i was fucked uü by Soulgen a few days before exactly for this reason.
I hope they can go on forever with that project without getting bought out or taken down partly due some legal issues.

I defenitely recommend you and everyone to try it. Its really worth it.

I'm not sure if it's been said in the thread already but you can easily run a pretty convincing NSFW LLM locally on your PC as long as you have at least 32GB of RAM (more = better). For easiest setup I'd recommend LM Studio for software and MythoMax-L2-Kimiko for model.
Do you have any recommendations for models that can run on weaker setups? I just have a laptop with 16gb ram and 4 gb vram, is there any model I can run to get decent results?

I've had decent results with Mistral-ClaudeLimaRP and it should run on your laptop more or less fine. Just make sure you're following prompt formatting extremely precisely, otherwise a relatively small model like this will get confused really quickly.

Waiting for the Nvidia 5090 to drop in order for me to hit the local AI craze tbh. If I go into this I wanna get a great experience. Still didn't reach that level for me yet.

Anything online that's worth it?

Glad you liked it. Please provide some info on pricing and whether or not you've tried other apps like spicy chat.

Has anyone here tried out character cards that try to turn the chat into a simulator with stats? Like this one, for example:

I've tried a couple but no matter what settings, model, or app I use it always quickly abandons the stats and becomes a generic NSFW chat.

I just jumped back into playing with Spicy Chat as well as CharacterAI for some R-rated fun, but does anyone else feel like a lot of these bots lose the premise of what their description often is? I dunno maybe I’m doing something wrong, but they will often not stick to their own descriptions. A shame.

I guess that you are not doing anything wrong, but the AI reacts to your prompt and always tends to serve you and likes what you do. Let's say you take a dominant bot and treat it as submissive for 5-15 messages, then the bot will eventually become submissive. The AI is still very limited and in development, and easily breaks character, especially in free chats that have 2k-4k character memory.

For a text-generation-inference on a pretrained model like what I'm suggesting you'd be better of with a Threadripper than a 5090 since the latest gguf format is designed for CPU inference with optional GPU offloading. Since I only have a 5800x I can't really verify it so take it with a grain of salt but based on what I can do on my rig I'm willing to bet a "great experience" is totally achievable on today's hardware.

Although from what I've heard next gen CPUs even in the consumer segment are going to be equipped with intergrated AI accelerators which could very well give double the performace so waiting is probably the move. Unless you're an oil prince or something.

The only oil I own is my own coom but I slave away to get wages and I can afford splurging over a xx90 type card for spicy virtual bullshittery.
