Man the developer of Black Rune really be slacking. There was meant to be a demo or the full release by early december but literally nothing. The piss poor updates he makes on twitter is basically nothing.

No it's not funded but also, he has no obligation to release it by then but rather when he feels it's ready. You can see in his twitter that he is updating with even gifs so it's not like he is not working on it, could be worse.

Just wait patiently. Solo devs are not Gods. The dude is doing all, from the story, system and art. No need to call him a slacker. The dude isnt even taking long breaks since he started the project.
If youre gonna pirate the game anyway , chill your horny ass down and look for other things. (Even if you are planning to purchase said game , it still applies)

I think the main reason the dev is taking a ton of time and might seem slow is that the dev seems to have a perfectionist personality I been keeping up with the game for a few years now and it seems like he will do something be unhappy with it and will keep improving it, not that its necessarily a bad thing but it will take a long long while before he is done and is satisfied with it I wouldn't be surprised if it releases until 2024, but he has been working non stop because he actively post pictures of stuff he is working on or ideas just like I said before he seems to be polishing the hell out of even the small details in the game hence why theres a huge delay.
One huge positive of the game being slow in development and taking a long time to release is that his art and programing skills have gotten way better if you check the initial pitch and the most recent images he has posted the difference is huge the art has improved a lot and the shadow play also looks much better more polished.
