Saw people looking for Fate DS. these links will be up for a few days.

Fate DS 1.8

Fate DS 1.5

They are both what the creator released as Fate DS, but are 2 completely different games. He abandoned 1.5 and just made a new game but called it an update.
Lord, can you please reupload the 1.8 one? :(

Looks good, but if I recall correctly the weakness of that dev isn't in the art; it was in the pacing, and writing. Like the girl in Sunset of Purity or whatever it was called had basically no resistance to men coming onto her. I don't think she ever showed guilt, or regret.
I think there is resistance this time from what i saw at least but at least he’s putting more effort into it he even put a mental gauge for the protagonist I don’t know how is that going to work

Yea, the demo for Sunset was fine, but the final game was just the demo stretched out unnecessarily long. There were a lot of things that looked like they would go somewhere but were just abandoned. Like you would see the girl meeting people, but nothing ever happened. The game was made like it was going to have a reason to explore around, but in the end you just passed time until the next event.

Hopefully he learned from that game and the next one is better. Too many games recently have been using the pass time gimmick without utilizing that gimmick in a useful way. What is the point in progressing through the day hour by hour if there is never anything that happens? lol

Seems like its going to be decent mystery NTR.
I'm gonna be honest, I quit this game after about 10-20 minutes, and I never usually do that for a porn game, much less an NTR game. I think the things that put me off were the bad grammar, inability to capitalise the 'I' pronoun, the insanely cringy misery-bait writing, and the use of AI images. In fact, it was when an AI image was used to show the MC flying into a fit of rage when his bully walked up to his friend that I decided the game was not for me. That image was so *crap* that I kinda just felt this whole game isn't gonna be my cup of tea.

Maybe the final product will be good, but what I've seen so far hasn't been promising from a qualitative point of view.

What are the ways of presenting the scenes that you guys like or dislike?

· The player watches the scene in some kind of recollection room/computer, no in-game scene. Character doesn't know anything. (Hero Wedding?)
· The player watches the scene from an omniscient viewpoint during the event. Character doesn't know anything. (Thug Hero early)
· The player watches from the POV of a different character in the scene. (Nitro Nil)
· The player watches the scene as the character but the character doesn't acknowledge anything. (NTR Knight)
· The player watches the scene and the character sees it as well. Probably treading NTS territory. (NTRPG)

1-4 are my preference. #5 is less fun in my opinion. I like #4 when the character sees a hint of what's going on but was either distracted with something else or the suspicions were dismissed either because of the heroine's explanation or his own made up story.

If I were to rank these from my favourite to my least favourite, it'd be something like
#5, #4, #2, #3, #1
I like to immerse myself within the pov of the main character. this reasoning alone probably perfectly explains the ranking order

I will also say that I dislike #1 far more than any of the other options, mainly because at best, it staggers the pacing of the game (okay, new scene unlocked, I have to go on my computer or enter a magical realm where I can view what really happened, then get back to the game), and at worst, in the case where the gallery is unlocked at the end of the game, it becomes a full on chore to go through each and every h-scene one after another. If a game is particularly wordy with its h-scenes, this is an even bigger problem.

No, I much prefer getting my scenes as they happen, which the four other methods allow. There are exceptions I make, particularly for games which emphasizes mystery NTR, but in these games what I'm looking for again is a main character POV, which includes obfuscated slithers of h-scenes that hint at something more. I value the mystery, rather than the reality. If a mystery NTR games can't even provide this, and instead relies solely on delivering gallery scenes to your recollection room PO box, then I don't think it has good mystery at all.

Essentially, the way I view a recollection room is exactly how its name suggests - a room to recollect. Not a first point of contact with a particular memory, but something more akin to a photo album where you're glossing over each photo, laughing and reminiscing over how Tommy backflipped into a dingy dumpster after too much drinking - except in an h-game's gallery room you're glossing over each CG, laughing and reminiscing over how Tommy made sweet passionate love to your childhood friend-turned-girlfriend, her eyes sparkling with passion for him. While you peer from outside their window, quivering and trembling in the harsh, snowy blizzard, teetering on the edge of despair. Ah, good times.

When you say character, I guess it's the MC ?

2 > 1 > 4 > 3 >>> 5

I like games with both POV (and I dare say I prefer FeMC over MC), so usually 2.
If "mystery NTR", 1.
I don't like when MC are too dumb, but if the situation is not too unbelievable, 4 is always welcome.
Don't care about other characters (unless they join the "bad guy" harem).
Not a fan of NTS (unless it goes wrong, or after NTR discovered).

Bad grammar doesnt bother me in porn games, I played so many when MTL was turbo ass. And I dont care if AI is used. Most AI games are bad not because of the AI but because they are bad games. The art is fine for me aswell, in fact I put much more value on having animated scenes then having amazing art. Even just moving the head back and forth in a BJ scene goes a long way for me.

5 feels the most like NTR to me.

I think I misrepresented #5 seeing how it can go the way of NTS where the player characters enjoys it or continue being NTR where the player character is powerless to stop it.
Thanks for the feedback. I've been doing sketches of scenes and was thinking about how best to present them in a game.

1 and 2, but NTR will not completely hit if the MC doesn't find out by the end. So you need to have 5 by the end of the game, but he needs to not be happy about it. And thats the end game possible post credits scenes.
