Anyone got idea of how far along the takeda hiromitsu game is?
well this morning he released a gif of the second part of EV41 and thats the first one (or second i dont remember well) of the scenes that lead to a pregnancy with the bull so ig maybe he'll finish the game in another year or two if he didn't go on hiatus(?

Still going to be years imo. Maybe 2-3 more , coming from my optmistic side. It's kinda sad because I really miss his tankoubons. Most of his time is dedicated in the game. I mean sure, he sometimes post some short mangas but for me, its not enough.

Hey everyone someone posted a NTR thread with a more clear definition. Just wanted some of yall 2 cents just wondering if yall agree.

Yeah, NTR as a whole is not a 1 on 1 comparison of cuckoldry. But cuckoldry and netorase does , imo. I've known this ever since I learned the genre via consuming corruption-themed nsfw stuff.

could not give a shit about NTRguru35649 stating his viewpoint of NTR as the factual definition once again. NTR is a feeling more than anything else, it is felt by all sorts of people in all sorts of different forms for all sorts of different reasons. Betrayal, corruption, loss, humiliation, stealing, rape. Prude couple, depraved couple, crushes, siblings, parents, friends, nameless NPCs, guardian angels. Cuckoldry, swinging, whoring or outright cheating. Netorare, Netorase, Netori, BSS(lmfao).

It literally doesn't matter. There's no point trying to narrow down the definition further than it already has been, and I don't like it because it feels very gatekeep-y for no good reason.

I appreciate your answer here! I understand where you're coming from. Just curious is all.

What's your take just curious. I've noticed a lot of people have so many definitions for this one fetish. Not saying anybody's wrong it's just very interesting to see so many different viewpoints on this.
It's hard to even articulate how incorrect he is. Towards the end he states "NTR is not about abandonment or betrayal".

Feelings of abandonment and (especially) betrayal is the number ONE feature of NTR. He seems to flip aspects of cuckoldry, which is typically a willing arrangement entered in to by a couple compared to Netorare.

From the visual novel database website:

"Netorare is more than a simple act of infidelity, but the fetishization of jealousy and other negative feelings commonly associated with it.

For a game to be classified as Netorare the following conditions must be met:

1. The protagonist's significant other, a very close friend, or in some cases, a close relative is stolen from him by someone seducing, coercing, blackmailing, outright raping them, or by using other techniques. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are literally stolen, but the negative feelings experienced by their significant other might make it seem so.

2. The one who loses their loved one almost always finds out about the situation and suffers from jealousy and the feeling of helplessness arisen from an inability to change anything. The one stealing the lover and/or the stolen loved one might rub it in by humiliating the loser in private or in public.

3. The trait does not apply if the character having sex with someone else does not have a close loving relationship with the protagonist, and if the protagonist does not experience jealousy and other negative feelings upon finding out about the act. In other words, the ties between the partners and their forcible separation is important to the netorare fetish. For example, an unrequited crush or a potential hero(ine) on a different route would not count for the purposes of this fetish.

4. The act of stealing must happen while the protagonist is in a relationship with the stolen significant other. Scenes of heroine's past relationships do not count as Netorare.

The game is usually portrayed from the perspective of someone losing his significant other, in order to delve deep into the jealousy aspect of the fetish, however, for story purposes the game might switch between multiple POVs and also portray the events from the perspective of the stolen SO."

This is well said. Cuck stories can be about compersion, netorare can't.

Problem is, everyone tries to make NTR be about what they want/like, presumably either so they can more easily find just what they want or feel vindicated in their particular style of enjoyment. Hence all the constant conflicting definitions and arguments.

Personally, I think the most objective way to look at it that boils it down to the most basic parts is to view it as really just a sub-genre or partner genre of cheating, where the guy getting cucked is a primary part of the content rather than a background character or entirely absent, either through being the POV character or receiving a lot of screen time and character development, so the consumer has an opportunity to develop an attachment to them and alter/enhance their experience of the cheating.

This gets a little hazy with Netori, since it's useful to have everything where you're the bull POV tagged with it, though I personally think of it as just vanilla with some cheating flavor if you never even see the guy you're cucking, it's not really theft in any meaningfully emotional way if the 'owner' only exists as a one-sentence mention now and then and a ring on a finger.

P.S: For people who think it has to involve corruption, I've seen Japanese Netorare where the woman has been cheating on the protagonist for some time with multiple men, though such works are certainly in a minority. One example that jumps to mind is a VN where you find this out after the husband talks to a guy in a bar and asks him to seduce his wife while pretending she's just some woman he saw on the street. Her previous affairs and what the guy himself is doing with her slowly get revealed as the guy sends increasingly erotic audio recordings, photos, and then videos to the husband. I quite liked the gradual build-up through limited reveals rather than the typical gradual build-up through corruption, made it feel more real and grounded, less porn-y.

So what I learned that NTR is very nuanced tho it can be boiled down to its simple points and everyone has their own personal meaning for NTR. I think I got it all.

They dont even understand the basic concept that NTR is just an abbreviation for Netorare, Netori and Netorase so you are better off not listening to anything they are saying, seems like a vent post.
Yea I saw that after a bit lmao. I didn't think it was gonna be a warzone over some porn :/. Sorry for the post.

Even that VNDB definition can be a bit limiting and trying to categorize a broad subject into neat aspects.

The only two constants (not literally but 99% of the time) in netorare is corruption of the female + betrayal/breaking of a bond. They don't have to be lovers. They don't have to be dating. It could be any bond like familial or friendship. The male MC doesn't have to know about it, sometimes even until the very end. If he doesn't know about it, jealousy might not even be part of the story. And attributing jealousy to the player assumes self-insertion. So I don't consider jealousy as a criteria.

Basically, the most barebones aspects that make up a netorare story is the female undergoing a corruption arc and the breaking of some close bond she had with the male protagonist due to this corruption arc. That's it.

Now if we are talking about "NTR" broadly, including netorase, cuckoldry, BBC, male MC humiliation, sharing, swinging, and all the multitude of adjacent tags of this variety, then it's fine to state which specific aspect of this NTR spectrum they enjoy. No problem there.
