I'm not fully read up on the situation myself, but it's not necessarily the case that the developer is the only one who could have messed with something. I had someone report suspicious stuff about an anonfile's link to one of my game's versions, so I stopped using them, even though I could find nothing wrong. Also had some cases where my game's MEGA links mysteriously got switched. Instead of linking to the download on my mega account, someone with the authority to edit my thread switched the links to a different mega download that was presumably a reupload they'd done themselves. For whatever nebulous reason.-snip-
In the past I have warned the forum administration about rogue uploaders. Of course they had the classic attitude of "its gonna be ok bro". As someone who has worked on malware development as part of my career, let me tell you that a malware being detected by an AV is the best case scenario. A malware developed by a professional/someone who knows what they are doing won't be detected. People put too much trust on their fancy AV software in my opinion.I just caught up on Cheating Crush by Prscyse, I've played the very first demo and haven't looked at it since.
It seems like there's something fishy about the developer, I would be careful if you're 1 of the 6 patrons OR if you plan on downloading and playing that game.
From reading the thread, here's what happened.
1. Someone reported a Trojan
2. Developer removes the original game with Trojan
3. Developer gets locked out as Post Owner by f95zone for removing links (I didn't know this was a thing)
4. Developer apparently reinstalls Windows and proceeds to fuck it up so it deletes the game
5. He's now starting from scratch
Now, I don't think this is a case of incompetence. I think this developer is honestly putting Trojan in his game and here's why.
First, he never denies that there's a trojan in his game. He just removes the link. Then he says he can't find the virus.
If you are confident there is no virus in the game, why remove it?
Secondly, how did the virus get into his game? It's a renpy game. Renpy does not contain trojans. You have to put the virus in your game. If you develop games regularly, you're adding python script files + images + videos. He owned the thread, and uploaded the file there.

That’s a good suggestion though I need to learn how to do it. I play the porn games on a disposable laptop with no crucial files. It’s I3 6gb ram probably infected as hell slow as fuck but still alive to get the job done.In the past I have warned the forum administration about rogue uploaders. My suggestion? For all the shady crap you download from the internet and execute on your computer, create a "porn virtual machine" with its internet disabled on your computer with VirtualBox for example, and play your games there so in case something goes wrong you can easily rollback to an earlier snapshot and protect your actual computer, also most malware will do a VM check and refuse to execute if they detect that they are likely being executed in a virtual environment which is an added benefit.
