Wow.
It's one thing to be proven wrong, another to have it happen almost instantaneously. The power of this thread is not to be underestimated.
Thanks to both of you! I have a stupidly big backlog of H-games at any given time, so will probably be a bit before I check those out, but I'll plan to look through some of the doujin in the more immediate future; I am still really curious whether the 'vibe' of these ends up feeling similar, or in some way distinct from, more 'standard' NTR. More than open to hearing others' thoughts as well!
(Sidenote, crnisl, gonna echo anonsuit that the amount of effort put into such a quick response to what was honestly in large part a rhetorical question is just absolutely stunning. Part of why I mentioned my backlog earlier; I don't want you to think your effort was un-appreciated, even if it might take me a while to in any way act on it).
Hello, everyone! I want to ask for some recommendations, I'm kinda new to the genre (and hentai games in general) so it is possible some classics that I don't know fit my request. My absolute goat in the genre is
Scars of Summer and its 'sequel' so anything close to that I'll probably love. I also like NTRMAN games although some are better than others, butI still think they're pretty hot overall.
Anyways, if we're moving to specifics I'd like a game with:
-Anime-like aesthetic, I don't care if it's anime 3d models like
The King of Summer that works too.
-If it's art, decent art. I don't think Scars of Summer art is super top quality but that level is good enough for me
-Male MC
-Eventually the MC finds out about the affair and the girl continues fucking the other guy(s) in front of him even (I know this is super specific so extra points if you find something like this but not mandatory)
-Actual gameplay or semi-impactful decisions, not full linear visual novel
Thank you in advance!
And these ones are supposed to be fitting for each point of your request, and the scenes/plot are good enough, but I've not played them myself, because too grinding for my tastes
I've played these three, so will briefly add my two cents on them.
Absolutely agreed on NT:R (eh? eh? you see what they did with the name?), especially in terms of your last request point. As you can guess from the title, it's a Tactics style game (e.g. like Fire Emblem). The main 'gimmick', which I think is incredibly clever, is that within battles, there are in-game incentives to have the main guy off on his own (he gets stat boosts that way), and conversely to have the girls and the other guys close together (again, it literally makes them stronger). However, as you'd probably guess, this leads to them getting molested in battle, and slowly starting to fall for them. It makes for a great balance, and is one of the better ways of incorporating corruptive influences directly into game play that I can think of ever having come across.
NTR Knight and Mirage's Defection are both games that I enjoyed quite a bit, but depending on what your standards for "actual gameplay" are, they may or may not fit. They're both RPG-Maker games (I think? Don't literally know their engine, but at the very least that vibe), not literally Visual Novels, but they're both in the fairly common style of "wander around, find scenes, advance story". In both games, when you find the scenes, you're generally just given a direct choice (framed differently in the two games, but the concept is the same) of "do you want this to happen, or do you want to stop it". Basically, you just get to directly choose whether / how quickly the heroines fall. Again, I want to reiterate that I think both are really solid games, but if you read that description and think "yeah that's just a Visual Novel with extra steps", then maybe not for you given your preferences.
