Most of those don't have a battle system.
But over all, RPGmaker and simulation games gives a higher immersion that's why I play them.

Fun story..... I only look for RPGmaker gamers when I look for NTR games.
Why?
- Much better story narrative.
- RPGmaker games can form the proper story when showing the events from the male protagonist.
- Pixel art that really improve the NTR experience that other games don't give.
- And ... typical chance for much deeper GAME experience instead of a dull VN.
- Gameplay via RPGmaker thrumps boring "gameplay" from renpy and other VN's.

It depends on the story the game has.

Also, I'm pretty sure most people "play" VNs for the art and story. Not for the "gameplay".

As others have mentioned, RPGM do tend to bring a different kind of gameplay as opposed to straight and linear VNs that I do think has a good amount of merit. I thought it would bother me a bit originally but after trying out a couple, it wasn't too bad. My biggest issue with certain RPGM games though is that scattered or non-existent skip text button. Pixel art I can deal with. Pixel and can't skip? My ADHD says stop it. Otherwise, sometimes it's worth slugging though.

I never got into NTRPG2 though. I'll prob get shat on for this since it seems like everyone's favorite but I just have a hard time getting into a game where things go 0-100 out of nowhere or where they make the MC ridiculous dense or just stupid.

I guess to me, the NTR content that's worth it is when they can CLEARLY show the mental anguish at the moment because whether you go into it knowing it or not, it's still a crazy mental stressor. A lot of NTR content is weak in this area I feel and just go the easy route of "I'm going to blackmail you with something illegal I did and instead of contacting the police because you know who I am, you should just let me do what I want." or something similar.

In a dramatic work, suspense is the anticipation of the outcome of a plot or of the solution to an uncertainty, puzzle, or mystery, particularly as it affects a character for whom one has sympathy. However, suspense is not exclusive to fiction.

People complain that blackmail is boring. They can't articulate in words the why but I think the reason is that no suspense was created.
For example, in the case of blackmail after the heroine is blackmailed she has no choice but to obey. In Toaru Hahaoya no Ayamachi is interesting because although there is blackmail the heroine and NTR guy negotiate the terms of sex. Sometimes she is tricked into having more sex/kinks stuff sometimes she tricks into having less. The suspense of negotiating sex is fun!

One game that does suspense great is Marina cuckolding report I played it recently and the scenes where they only show the MC's thinking is hot and it makes your heart beat faster, because it's to your imagination also.

It's a bit surprising how much NTR exists in the most popular books. In fact I consider the NTR in the books superior to that of any other medium. In general, the characters in a book have their own interests and plots that do not focus solely on sex, so an NTR developed over hundreds and hundreds of pages with characters that you really care about is much more devastating and has many more consequences in this medium than in any other. In addition, the authors can be very wicked with their own characters.

I agree, not expecting NTR is even better imo. This is why Netorare is best when the characters are developed fully and it comes when you least expect it. The longer the story with the woman the more suffering, which is so crucial. Shorter stories like doujins are for quick faps but longer stories linger in your mind after you fap.

I think I love the setting, the mecha mechanic, and some of the villains and of course the busty heroine. But the fact is the girl essentially falls too easily. She's a piece of meat without any agency. No real thoughts. No real afterthought about what she's doing. The game could use a rewrite, and add meaningful events where the player directly affects the outcome of the heroine.
For example, different dialog options from the MC to the heroine should lead to different consequences, good and bad.

Thats exactly what I think about the game, the heroine design is atleast 9/10 but the game falls apart completely in the story department, the game could be a masterpiece with a rewrite and decisions from the MC.

Imo those kinds of games need some pixel scenes to really immerse you in the story, like Scars of Summer or Henteria Chronicles, everything you see in RaiOhGar are literally just the heroine T-Posing in front of the guys

It's because most eroges dont simulate women's minds correctly. I think partially it has to do with Japanese culture and attitude toward women. There's really only a handful of women in Japanese manga / eroge that I can think "that's how a real women will behave". Some believable women I can think of would be Beats Blade Haruka girls, Kamikaze Ouka, various chicks in Goblin Slayer series, Casca from Berserk, women in HxH, Black Lagoon, Oyasumi Punpun, I Am a Hero (wife not really sexually attractive, but she is the ultimate "wife" as in you wish she's on your team), Ghost in the Shell,

It's difficult to judge because the game takes around 5 hours of reading to get past the world building part. By that time, my cock is usually too tired and I just finish my night with porn. It's really such a big investment that it's hard to recommend. Tons of cock tease. After chapter 2, it picks up.
