What monkey brain does one need to not comprehend that some people enjoy certain things that they might not.What monkey brain does one need to think losing your GF is an interesting concept.

I don't play any games (or storylines) that involve coercion or degrading, so NTR is out.
Harem games are only very rarely interesting, just throwing buckets full of pussy to an MC is really boring, but if the girls are good looking I might give it a go. The trend however seems to be unnaturally big titted and assed women so the list of ignored games here is getting close to 90% at the moment,
I prefer the small (family) harems with no more than 4-5 people. Or even better a properly written single girl game, especially the ones where you meet a number of people and then choose to pursue one and develop something with her. (note to devs: please always let us ignore LI's we don't like)
What I do not really get is why people put Harem up against NTR all the time. They are not really opposites to me. The only thing I can think of is that generally in Harem you are guaranteed to get the girl and in NTR you need to work for it. But that's more about lazy writing and sticking to tropes too much than it is a proper contrast between the two genres.

The way I understand it, with "real" NTR, you will lose regardless of how hard you work for it.
That is what makes it so frustrating and pointless.

Eh but harem can be hard too, the only difference is the progression. NTR can be more original but still is about character losing while harem is character winning. It is like replacing the classic young hero with a grampa that is losing his force....can be funny sometimes but it is strange to be a standard story.

Its probably have to do who is the writer or to whom its aimed for. From my experiences Female Writer tend to go for the NTR routes in their stories since they self insert in the wife/Gf etc.
And guys self insert as the Husband/BF.
There are of course always exceptions like people who dont care of the story and just want quick fap and therefor -> The wilder it goes the better for them. Or just people who dont want or cant self insert and look at it from a third perspective so they dont care who cheats on whom.

This would contradict the NTR game since its not NTR fetish (Netorare/Netorase) but the something completely different.

Overall if I have to choose I'm on the harem team, but I have seen battle fuck games, capture systems in which heroines are raped and many more games that have some sort of NTR content, personally my optimal game would actually be a game with risks but that you can earn your harem, which would be heresy to some harem and NTR fans lol.

I mean there is a reason why there are so many popular artist and authors who write NTR stories/ponrhwas/doujinshi are woman. The "female empowerment" in such stories is that she explore her inner slut in such stories. And if you dont believe me you can ask these different authors. They are even on reddit erotica threads who will confirm what I say.
Or if you want to get a small glimpse. Go to "Toonily" and type "Gomusin". Dont let the 3.3 rating confuse you. It was a 4.5 when it started ( because people had hopes) but when you will read the comments on the last 2 chapters, you should then know what I want to say here with "female empowerment".
While Im not going out of my way for NTR since im not a crack head, I get sometimes into the crossfire because of all the random copes the author tries to shove in if they are male: Take your poison lol.

I gonna disagree with you here.
There are many factors which play in what makes Harem/NTR great or bad and I honestly must say is that despite both genres, the harem makes more sense tho its not always means its more realistic. But then again, there is a reason why Harem is more popular or why people tend to escape from realtiy into Harem/NTR stories.
But this clearly counts to the whole Harem member logic of them bonding and loving the MC without starting each other backstabbing or killing each other.
I think from the conversation here, or like you saw it on your own on other threads, NTR is like Harem most of the time cheaply done so you have to dig through much trash.
But if you stick to one thing then the other then its your own personal preferences in the end.
Its the same when you want to eat something Halal but then the waiter is confused because there is some small meat of it, he is just making a fuss.
Personally I enjoy corruption stories/games but only when its the MC doing it. Hence I love when I have them, aka netori. But thats not what you really mean.
The others you mentioned tag is because they are not the majority but are niche, at least on this forum. Go on specific sites where this specific genre is talked about and then you would think the whole world is upside down.

No one said that honestly, at least not from what I saw. It all depends who you ask or WHERE you ask.
