Nyl did say that they're working on Marvel Rivals models, so all we gotta do now is wait. Hopefully not to long.
This actually came as a disappointment to me. I just feel like so so many people are making those models and animations that nyl is kinda wasted on them. I'm sure he'll make some cool stuff don't get me wrong, but would rather he concentrate on just more long form animations with existing models.

But think about it. More models from different franchises to choose from, would keep the content fresh, instead of us only getting Overwatch and Baldur's Gate stuff. I think it's worth the wait.

Plus while there are already tons of models floating around I'd still wanna see Nyls take on Marvel Rivals. Nyls models are always unique and never just 1 to 1 ports or head swamps as well.

That's all fair, I just totally don't feel that way.

"keep content fresh" For me Marvel Rivals content isn't 'fresh' it basically blew up at the pace Overwatch r34 content did back in the day.

As far as we get to see "Nyls take on Marvel Rivals" I just think we already have such stylized good models being used already that his stuff will be redundant. I might be wrong, it's all personal taste.

If Nyl had announced he was doing LoL stuff I'd reverse my view, LoL for whatever reason has always lacked r34 stuff compared to how huge the game is, and many many of the characters aren't used in any blender or otherwise high quality animations. To me that is an example of 'huh, that's neat, lets see what nyl does' rather than Rivals to me is over saturated already.

If I had to say one positive that even I see, it's that if working on marvel models helps him avoid artistic burnout than it's worth it no matter how I feel.

Here's to hoping he does something with the Street Fighter girls. Poison, Chun-Li, Cammie, whoever, there's an untapped goldmine there for him, yet he still sticks with Overwatch.
Because of his process he never really does multiple things at once, as far as I can remember anyway. It's only ever Bordello, his own creation, and then something else on the side. As that other guy said, he mentioned Marvel Rivals a few months ago so I imagine he'll dip into that whenever he's finished with the big OW project. Only after he's done with Rivals would he start on something else that could maybe be SF or something else entirely.

Aside from Mercy x Pharah (or Ana), I'm fucking tired of Overwatch. Doesn't hit the same anymore.

I'd like to see him do something with Monster Hunter or Expedition 33. Rivals would be far better than OW at this point, even though it's just another hero shooter we could at least get something with Marvel characters.

Same. It's not even like the animations aren't still killer, they are! It's just... OW porn is so tired at this point. Obviously Nyl should do projects that keep them motivated, but I hope one day they'll move on from OW as the defacto fallback point.

It looks like things are heating up this August with another animation challenge! Like our Halloween challenge from last year, this one will be themed. What's the theme you ask? Well pretty much anything summer-related of course!

The animations will be based around the general themes or imagery of summer, for example: beaches, pools, vacation, the heat in general, etc. In these themed ones, participants are free to take it in whatever direction they want. It can be as general as a summer pool party, or as focused as a specific summer holiday like Midsummer or Independence Day. Or maybe the AC just broke and the characters are sweaty.

If you're not familiar with the animation challenge, here are the rules:For 3 days, all participants are expected to create, render, and release an animation from scratch during each consecutive 24 hour time period. 3 days, 3 animations. There are no requirements for sound, software, render engine, or runtime.Right now we're still locking all of the participants in, but once we get closer to the event I'll update this post with the list of animators.

And as always everyone will be adhering to their own separate time zones so if you follow all of these people then expect a smattering of animations throughout each day.
