I get that on one of my saves, all the others just kick me back to the main menu screen, except my Haley and Nikki saves, which appear to play...

Anyone managing to play fine from 0.1.5 saves, or has there been anything from the dev to advise saves are not compatible, etc.?

Probably because it's quicker to upload and get download links for a much smaller file.

I had the same problems with last updates, went on with new paths.. This week i can do it all over again, nothing loads with this update, YET AGAIN!!

It shouldn't make a difference, but just in case anyone thinks it does, I'll confirm that mine is the full-fat version, not the compressed one.

Saves should always be compatible. I added what I had hoped was the fix for the rollback error, but apparently that is not working across the board. Only one subscriber reported an issue with their saves, so it is definitely not affecting everyone, and all of my saves work just fine.

Apologies for the inconvenience. It is difficult to track down the cause here because I can't recreate it with my own saves, and I'm using the methods the renpy docs show to help prevent this.

The rollback is one thing, but I've not seen it where it throws you to the main menu as soon as you try to load a save before - there's no traceback, so nothing helpful from there. It shouldn't be a compressed version issue, as I'm not using compressed. It's frustrating, but I appreciate that you can't offer any suggestions if you can't recreate the problem. I could drop you one of my save files if it helps with that, but it's not recommended to share save files, and I don't know if it would help anyway.

I understand the frustration from the player side. I share the frustration that this continues even though I think I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing. I've been chasing this for months and have talked with other devs who all say "Yeah, it happens". Renpy docs don't offer much help, either, and I've seen this issue from other games, not just Office Perks. Not that it makes it any less frustrating to know this stuff, but I've been struggling to fix this for good for a while.

If there are any renpy experts in this thread, hit me up if you've run into this or know a permanent fix!

Just my two cents, the most recent save I had was broken, but going back one or two further back only reset that scene and that the dialogue ahead had been read. So not a dramatic loss.

Apologies for the trouble. I really thought i had the fix in. I'm reaching out to other devs (again) and trying to find some pointers online to what I might be doing wrong. The fact that it doesn't affect everyone (including me) makes it that much more difficult to track down.

Arrgh...goddammit, I'm sorry.

I am going to add a Force Auto Save call a couple of frames behind the "end of update" screen. Still talking with other devs on possible solutions, but so far it's a lot of "you can try this" rather than anyone having an answer to "This is how you do it per the documentation." Frustrating for all of us...
