Everyone Hey Loopers! Sorry for tagging everyone- I promised I'd stop doing it unless it was something important, and this is important
As of right now, as much as I hate to say it, one of our artists, Farmer, seems to have dropped off the project. I have gotten no official confirmation one way or the other, but since it has been 3 weeks since he last talked to any of us, i'm sadly assuming he has left the project. He's an awesome artist, and I'll miss having him on the team a lot.
That being said, I'm looking for another artist for the team. We are looking for someone seasoned with DAZ, but you don't have to be a master- just able to produce good looking sequences in a timely manner. Communication is key, and while you will be able to create as you see fit, I will admit i am pretty specific about certain shots and poses. That being said, another requirement is that you must also have a love or passion for the game, or at least for your craft- doing creative work for something you don't care about will hurt both of us.
Since this will be revenue share (sadly, I'm a poor man) it IS more of an investment at first, but I believe we have the skills and ambition to make this a huge game- and as it is my project, I am willing to sacrifice my own profits as necessary to make everyone feel valued and compensated.
If you or anyone you know ~~has been diagnosed with mesothelioma~~ would want to fill this position, please let me know, or refer them to me. I would love to have someone on board who can help make this project even better.
Love you guys. As much as you guys are wanting the update, I want it out even more. I can't wait to bring you more content.

From what I understand the game isn't being delayed, and they're going to get help from another artist so they can finish this update, and then look for a permanent new artist.

It's rare for a developer not to abandon a project at the first bad thing that comes their way This happens, and it deserves all our support. I wish you luck and hope you can return soon.

Seems that their artist came back. Sounds like he had family issues and he got overwhelmed.

Winter Willows, Hometown Heroine! Main Girl Showcase
Hey Loopers, welcome back to the Showcases! It's been a bit, and since I haven't been keeping up with my schedule of "once per week" I thought I'd jump straight to one y'all have very much been waiting for.
Winter was actually the first girl created for this game, and somehow ended up with the least amount of screentime. This doesn't mean she's not going to get more, though; I have big plans for her, and you guys are going to be happy we didn't blow our load so fast.
Anyway, here's some fun facts about Winter Willows, the rising pop star of Echo Lake, and our MC's longtime friend.
- Winter's fascination with music started at a very young age, when she began piano lessons. Unlike most young piano prodigies, this was not enforced or suggested by her parents; she was actually inspired to learn piano from mid 2000's pop stars. Even after learning piano to an advanced level, she embarked on an instrumental adventure, expanding her resume to woodwinds, violin, before eventually finding her calling, with a guitar in her hands, singing her heart out.
-Summer and Winter, despite being 2 years apart, had been close friends since childhood, due to their parents becoming close friends. During their play dates, Summer would often act as an older sister, guiding Winter around, with bubbly little Winter just so excited to have a "coo friend".
-While writing her own music, she would practice in places that helped her concentrate. Among these places were a nearby field, a fire escape outside a friend's apartment, and MC's backyard. Despite many perceiving Winter as a perpetual ray of sunshine, she found peace by channeling negativity and securities into songs, so that they would not consume her.
-She loves most animals, and has owned various random pets, from a bearded dragon to a hedgehog. At the moment, though, she only owns a dog.
Winter was the first girl designed for the game. She actually was based around the name, which has been a name I really love for a long time. The idea was also to name her Winter but have her be (what I thought was) my ideal girl; someone sweet, smart, outgoing, and full of sunshine. Also, for those who remember, she used to look a lot different! Her remake was super essential to the game, and we went through over 50 new versions of her before deciding on her current version.
I have a lot more to say for Winter, but, unfortunately, I cannot right now. I know a lot of you are waiting to meet her. Like I have said before, you still won't get a lot of Winter this update; but as I have also said before, the payoff will truly be worth it. I promise you that.

If you're not familiar with using the console in ren'py then using the in the first post is the better option. Just copy the file to your "game" directory.

Hey Loopers! I'm trying to be as active as possible about the game, but all I can say is we are reaching much closer to the update. I'll hit you guys with some facts, but first; I want to thank you guys a little harder than usual today, by saying thank you guys for the excessive support, patience, and faith in us through these harsh times. The most important thing right now is we aren't giving up, and I'm excited to get this out to you.
Render wise we are working on the three biggest scenes of the update, and have a couple more after that. I believe besides the big scenes, we don't have many more important scenes after that. While that may sound concerning, our work output is much higher than it has been the past few months. Since the last update, we got 4 scenes done render wise. That's definitely an improvement from the past updates, and I hope we can keep this up!
Writing wise, we have one last scene to write. I've already started outlining the next update and Krash is getting a bunch of the resources ready. I also think you guys would like to know that we are in the process of reskinning/fixing up a few of our models- mc and the main 4 (not counting Winter). They won't be applied this update but we are setting them up for the next update.
For our new cast, welcome Pax as our new coder! Some of you probably know the dude, and I am super excited to work with him. I'm learning Daz, as well as learning things so Krash doesn't have near as much shit to do, and am probably going to focus hard on lighting soon, which I think is the most important thing that I need to learn. I'm lucky to have a ton of people around who will help me through this process, in order to bring you guys more content!
Music and SFX wise, I'm constantly looking for more music to add to the soundtrack. As a former musician, my perfectionist side comes out when looking for fitting music. Finding royalty free music with lyrics has been a tough process, and asking artists to use their song has been a pretty fruitless project, but I think I've got quite a few bangers lined up for the next update, including a band that you've heard in another, very popular AVN.
Alright Loopers, I had more to say this release! I try to keep it as real as possible because you guys only deserve the truth from me, but the truth is I would never keep up this project if I didn't have faith that I could surpass y'alls expectations. The struggle is worth it (for me) to see this project come to life, and I thank yall for being on this journey with me.
