This one definitely shows its age. And you can tell it's Cari's first game in a lot of ways. But it has a lot of heart. And despite some of the more "questionable" actions and/or tropes in the game, I can really recommend it if you like Eternum.

This is a favorite of many, me included, but as some said, it shows it's age. It was Caribdis first game, where he was starting to experiment the tools, mainly Ren'Py's limits. You can even see the continuous progression of quality in the game the more you play, from patch to patch at the time the improvement was obvious.
In terms of pure care to polish, even at the slightiest detail, it is better than Eternum? No. Still, the game has a combination of a lot of things that makes it a great game. It isn't a masterpiece at a specific thing, yet the mix of story along with comedy and an insane female cast personality (I don't know how the man does it, on both Eternum and Oailt there isn't a girl that isn't unique) gives a final game that is outstanding and specially nostalgic to many, specially to those who saw it's development and rise in popularity. People genuinely beloved the characters.
So no, it isn't comparable to Eternum when it comes to "level". Yet, if you want have to have a great time then for sure it is comparable. There's a reason it's still one of the most beloved games on these forums, still top 6.
Yes, and the school system seems much more American than British. I wonder why Caribdis wanted to set the game in Britain, as so far I've not seen anything that would require that.
I started playing the game recently because of how brilliant Eternum is and - though it's enjoyable enough - I may have been expecting too much, as I've been slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong; it's still a good game, but Caribdis clearly learned a lot from making it and Eternum is far better.

I am glad I finally gave this game a playthrough... 10/10 short, funny and sweet story. The girls of this game look great, in this world of 3D games filled with girls that look like they have botched surgery. Can't wait to start eternum soon!
