Thanks for the info, and yes, a switch to a new PC with Windows 11 Pro is already being planned.
You're the first developer here to even respond to this notice, thank you very much for that. I've currently moved 9 games that require Windows 10 to a separate directory and will perhaps look at them again at another time.
According to the Ren'Py release list, Ren'Py 8.3.7 and Ren'Py 7.8.7 weren't released until March 2025.
Ren'Py 8.4.0 didn't come out until July 2025.
Why developers have to update projects that have been running since 2022 or 2023 to this version now is beyond me, and I certainly won't support developers who react so rashly, no matter how interesting their game may be.
Fortunately, I still have enough alternatives to keep me entertained for a few weeks.
