Looking forward to any new developments for OnlyHer as it's been quite the dry spell. I recall that the reworked introduction (despite some lamenting the loss of a certain scene) did a much better job setting the tone for the story and for making the NTS/NTR route direction more engaging and clearer over the old one. Hopefully, the sandbox portion will turn out just as great. In the existing versions, some character's storylines were interesting while others were "problematic". With additional content, new characters, and revamped character arcs this latter and main portion of the game should be much more promising to explore when everything is said and done. We're just all hoping it won't take another two years to get to that point though.
I've checked Patreon, X, and Discord again and MrWarmBeer, I think it's fair to say we're due for some new news. Just drop a progress update even if it's small every once in a while. All the best and all that jazz, cheers!

I actually do think I get it. You seem excited to work on the game again, and I'm glad for you. Previously you did the rework on the intro part of this game, and having played both the old and new, I can say it was a big improvement. I wrote about that in this thread earlier.
I thought the original game was a bit dark, confusing, but ok. The rework was fantastic, and I'm hoping you're bring that quality into the new, with enthusiasm for all parts of the game. Sometimes to the drudgery of programming, other times when adding fun art assets to a scene.
Thank you! I actually am enjoying working on the game again. It's not easy doing so when I work 50 hours+ a week on my main job, so I prioritize my enjoyment more than anything

I disagree. The best think on this game was, other then sexy wife, the variety in scenarios:
You had forced blackmail with boss (and the old start was perfect for that), the friend, the bbc, the prostitution aspect (fucking landlord to pay rent), the 'shota'. So character variety.
As for themes you had classical nts, prostitution, blackmail
When you remove the blackmail and add no new scenes on the landlord part, you basically have a common game, just like any other NTS game out there.
The old boss 'violent' blackmail was a good fit for the game (specially when dev put blackmail tag on game, so its something players have been warned before playing).
I respect that you disagree with me about the reworked introduction of the game and that's fine. Other than a certain scene being removed in the old intro, you're implying the other scenarios and characters will be changed. The core aspects of those characters won't be changed nor are they being removed. And to take a word that both you and MrWarmBeer have used, it's stated from the dev that "[he] likes variety" after all.
The reason why I believe the reworked intro is an improvement over the old is that, one, it helps to better setup the main couple to be in a caring, loving relationship in a more believable manner. This is important to establish this "love story" and to later see how their relationship evolves between each other and other potential lovers as well. Two, as mentioned, it also removed a certain scene. This scene was dark and more importantly unavoidable which did flavor and influence the rest of the game (unintentionally). Some players, such as yourself, really enjoyed that (and there's nothing wrong with that) while others viewed it negatively for having it railroaded unto the players. And three, its removal was necessary to give the player a clearer choice for the routes that they wish to pursue -- namely whether things will proceed in an NTS- or an NTR-like manner. And that player choice will be "more impactful" over the coming proceeding outcomes of their actions. Prior to the rework "certain paths would veer too much into one way, and other paths would go in the complete [opposite] direction" and "hopefully with the reworks (sic), whatever path you choose you feel much more consistent". After all, some players either like NTR or NTS but not necessarily the other.
Regarding the characters from prior to the new intro, none of the existing characters, other than the hacker, were removed from the game. There doesn't seem to be any indication that will change nor their core personality traits.
Don't worry, the boss is still an asshole, and the others will all continue to be in the game. Fan favorites for the friend and BBC will still do their thing and have their own respective stories which will be expanded on if a player pursues them. Barrows, the landlord, with its "prostitution" aspect will still be in there. Many people found that to be hot; though, the dev wished it was more popular. The "shota" teen character with their total lack of knowledge of what sex is, unbelievably, will still be in there. Shuchang, another old man character, with his in-game culture, iirc, of not wearing pants (rolls eyes) will be there -- and the FMC will forever continue to be depressed if the MMC tells the wife to keep things professional. There will eventually be new characters as well and other existing characters will have their content expanded on -- such as the cafe owner. In addition, on the other side of the coin there will also be characters for the MMC to explore if a player chooses to do so such as Casey and Bella which have already been confirmed as possible LIs.
Ultimately, future content of the game -- given what MrWarmBeer have said -- should have things that will make NTR-lovers happy while those that go the NTS routes will also have scenes that works for them. Even if a scene has the same renders, the set up for them and how that scene is flavored in its dialogue and execution will be different between the two major route paths. And I think that's for the best. It shouldn't add too much additional work for the dev for how a scene plays out (with possibly a few renders to further differentiate between the two spheres). Other systems will also be implemented such as the phone system which should add an interesting dynamic especially if the MMC sends their wife off with whomever was chosen. The new intro helps to delinate the future paths much better, and the consequences of choices made will be more profound. Personally, I think that's for the best. Besides who's to say that a similar "dark" scene with the boss akin to the old scene won't turn up in the future anyway?
