Normally I don't write anything on this website, but this has been annoying me to the point of exasperation and I am not even a patreon. Every time I look at this thread there are only two types of posts: either an update from the dev or someone complaining about the game to no end.

I think this has to stop. Most of the points you argue are valid and its fine to leave some constructive criticism, but this is too much. And I am not blaming you directly, there are many others guilty of this too. I am certain Cryoxxx got the point, you don't need to bring it up again and again. You can just leave a review detailing your thoughts and I am sure not only the dev, but other players will read as well, you don't need to make a public show of it.

The objective truth is that this game is great. Denying it would be lying to yourself. Could it have been more? Yes, but its beyond selfish and self centered to already ask for more. If it were so easy to write a good sci-fi story then I am 100% sure the dev wouldn't be here making this game and instead scriptwriting for a major company. Doing both the visuals, coding and story writing is more than 99% of us here can manage.

So please, next time you think about starting a complaint discussion on this thread, think about that and whether you have anything of value you can bring to the table.

I just honestly love the way this game is going. The mc is slowly romancing the girls and we are getting more options when it comes to fetishes. The mc never has to submit but he can choose to do so. He never has to see tentacles but can choose to do so. I love the fact that we the player get choices in this game and I hope that Cryoxxx continues to provide them. I mean its rare that we get a sci-fi game this good with this level of care put into it. Also more alien/monster/slime girls pls!

I was advocating sticking around but lowering his expectations, like I had to.

There's no need to White Knight, you can disagree with someone without going to war with them. Why are you trying to shut down discussion on a discussion forum?

If you had read my post carefully you would have seen that I wasn't singling you out. I said many are responsable of this. Its just that I answered to your post because it was the most recent.

As for me trying to be a White Knight, I really am not. You could make that argument if I were a patreon, which isn't the case. I get no benefit from doing this. Its just my opinion: far too much complaining...there was no discussion like you mentioned, just a lot of negativity. I thought I expressed myself in a civil way, not declared war.

Anyway, there is no point in continuing this discussion. You do what you want to do. I am not taking away your freedom to express yourself.

On a side note, congrats Cryoxxx on the milestone! Good luck moving forward!

I disagree that with your original premise that there are only harsh critiques and dev updates. You probably meant it as hyperbole, but I think hyperbole requires a significant truth at it's core to be effective. I see quite a lot lavish praise and excitement on this thread. I share in the enthusiasm for the project, but I'm also a bit wistful for the Captain I thought MC was going to be. A couple months ago, I shared a perspective, similar to Halbyn's, of coming to terms with the fact that my initial assumptions about the Captain and crew were incorrect. Now, I have seen some strongly worded criticisms and a fair amount of agreement with those criticisms, but nothing toxic nor any piling-on that would warrant a "this has to stop" speech.
"Bringing it up again and again" allows Cryoxxx to see the prevalence of a particular opinion. If everyone that shared an opinion kept quiet because it had already been expressed by someone else, then there's no valuable information to be gathered from a forum. Discouraging only critical opinions creates an echo chamber where Cryoxxx would come to believe he's the greatest writer/dev to have ever blessed humanity with a porn game. Clearly, he's currently only the third or fourth greatest, and misleading him about that hurts his growth opportunities to rise to that coveted number one spot. I trust that Cryoxxx is thick-skinned to discard any criticism that doesn't motivate his creativity and smart enough to use feedback to inform his understanding of the audience's hopes.

Oppai Odyssey has reached the 500 patron goal! I'm blown away and so excited to be taking this next step for the project!



0.3.9 is out and has been played by a ton of you guys, and I'm glad that it's gotten such good reception. I can't wait for everyone to play it! That brings me to my next point!

0.3.9 Public Release: TBA

For the past few updates I have take the time between alpha release and public to polish OO. From making new UI, building the codex, and remastering older events, this time is where I can make sure OO is the product I want you all to enjoy!
This time I'm tackling something I've wanted to change for a long time. Xerxes.

Xerxes Rework

The crew's first mission came during OO's infancy, and I'll be the first to tell you that I was a real amatuer back then. I think I've grown in all story-telling aspects, and I'm ready to jump back in and tell this story right.


This is a bit more than just a remaster; I'm rewriting it from the ground up. The Xerxes rework will clean up some missteps I took back then and setup some things for 0.4 much better.



I'm aiming provide a more condensed and exciting experience this time around. Coupled with some stunning visuals, I'm hoping this new first mission will get players invested in the story.



So Cryo...When can we play it? Not months from now, right?!?! 0.3.9 Public Release will have the enhanced Xerxes mission added on to it, so not too long at all. The day I sent 0.3.9 off to my playtesters, I started working hard on the Xerxes rework, and now I'm more than halfway finished with it!

I've already wrote more here than I planned, so I'll end it here! As always, thanks for the support. I wouldn't be able to share this without you beautiful people.
