the vikingfile and pixeldrain mirrors let you download individual files, just let it load and you can click on themanyone has the Assembly-CSharp file? i accidentally replace the file with the old one and now the game can't even load, idw to redownload the whole game file again![]()
It's still being updated, it's just been so long since the last update that the game qualifies for the "abandoned" tag. When the developer puts out another major version, the thread can be flagged for a mod to take off the tag. But for all intents and purposes, it's been over a year with nothing added and just a bunch of feature creep being described by the dev; suddenly they want to make the whole game open-world with a huge fully-realized city. Given that it took years just to get a massage parlour with two mini-games and a few girls with sex scenes, saying they want to make a GTA-sized thing may as well be them saying they've abandoned the project, given at the rate of development something like that would take a decade or longer. The game is really cool, animations are really nice.
It pisses me off that such games are abandoned, though I dont even know whats worse, the fact that its abandoned, or the fact that its updated every few years, like SMA (Some Modeling Agency)
Karasu is the one who designed the Harpy. He also designed the Dragon Girl that's supposed to be coming up.I really sad its abandoned. This harpy girl design is best harpy design ever. Previously, I had only seen such a design from Karasu chan. I so like this a longtallskinnyclawedcute harpy legs.
In theory the game is still being developed, it's just that games on F95Zone that haven't seen an update in a certain amount of time get the tag automatically; basically just means "don't expect to find anything new in the past months". In theory the dev is still working on it, but it's been a VERY long time since there was a content update.I really sad its abandoned. This harpy girl design is best harpy design ever. Previously, I had only seen such a design from Karasu chan. I so like this a longtallskinnyclawedcute harpy legs.
1) no one wants town exploration
I've tried to make an open world game before (thankfully, not externally funded; just my own passion project). I realized I was in way too deep when I'd spent nearly 50 hours just tweaking LOD crap and trying to not get distant objects to look janky when they fade/pop in, and at a certain point I realized I just wasn't having fun any more; all of my interest had evaporated.1) no one wants town exploration
2) "final polish" doesn't mean anything, just look at how Dragon Sleuth has been getting Final Polished for like two years
You're saying the exact opposite of this in the Wild Life thread. You're perfectly fine with feature creep there, so long as you personally like the features being added. You defend the sandbox relentlessly in that discussion. And yet here you are now, claiming that a sandbox is the last thing this game needs. Try not to be such a hypocrite.I've tried to make an open world game before (thankfully, not externally funded; just my own passion project). Town exploration is like, the LAST thing Orc Massage needs. Nobody needs to make the big guy lumber around the city, requiring building LODs, map-making, creating a walk cycle for the avatar, presumably populating it with people/cars/plants/other assets, and so on. If they want you to be able to visit different places, then just make a cutesy map somewhere by the door of the massage parlor that you can click on, and then you pick a place to go to. Do maybe a short little cutscene of a taxi bouncing down a premade road, and then cut to the interior of whatever building you went to. That's if it's necessary at all to even go to other places. I was fine with just the massage parlor and keeping the scope of the game reasonable. Feature creep like this adds a grazillion hours of dev time that wasn't previously necessary.
I'm all for immersion. I really appreciate it when developers build a world for their game, whether it's through an open world or simply well written background text. It adds depth and helps me connect with the setting. I enjoy games more when I understand the world they're set in. I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming town exploration content.1) no one wants town exploration
