Big news! The store page for has finally been approved and you can now go and wishlist this now!

Season 1 will feature Chapters 1-8 of Origin Story (news on Chapter 8 release coming very VERY soon).

The best thing you can do to help the development of Origin Story, and me, right now, is to go and hit that wishlist button. Even if you don't intend to buy the game on Steam, just that wishlist alone will help a huge deal.

So go check out the page, check out the TWO new trailers and hit that button.

Appreciate you guys!
When did you become a messenger? I've noticed you doing it a lot recently.

Chapter 8 Release Date Announcement

So yesterday, when I was posting the steam announcement, I was half-tempted to make a joke that I was going to hold the release of Chapter 8 until I hit a certain milestone in steam wishlists. I decided against it, because I'm forever worried that people read my humour wrong, and might genuinely think I was holding the release hostage for the sake of greed.

Turns out, it wouldn't have mattered! I already passed that milestone in just over 24 hours. You guys continue to astound me. Thank you.
I'm not saying what that milestone I was thinking was, but I will say it's still FARfrom what I'm really hoping for in order to get a great steam release. So, if you haven't already, please drop me a wishlist .
Couple of changes to the rollout schedule:
  • Normie tier no longer receives the update 2 days before "public release date". Reason being is that I no longer release the game for free anymore. So from now on, the Normie Tier release date is now the official release date.
  • As a result of the above, Manifested tier now receive the update 2 days before official release, whereas previously it was 4. Trainee tier 4 instead of 6.
  • The higher tiers, however... have not had those decreased, in fact, they have been increased. Gods will receive the game 14 days before official release, Legends 12 days and Heroes 10 days. I'm experimenting here. Every release, we have the same issue. Someone signs up to a lower tier, leaks the game and immediately cancels. It renders the early access benefits of those paying to support me on a higher level, pointless. This is my way of trying putting some distance between those who pay more to support Origin Story's development and those who'll take the cheap option to leak the game and, frankly, do the exact opposite of support it.
So there it is. Hold on to your butts for a couple of weeks. I hope you all enjoy it.

I got a feeling it will be leaked a lot earlier now with no public release, most VN's that have public releases have better control over when the links get leaked as most are fine waiting for that public release but always seems like when there is no public it is leaked within days of the first releases.

Maybe. People like this dev and sometimes sit on an update and give like week or so before leaking out of respect and to not seem like parasitic pirates. So around Hero or Trainee tier.

That's what happened last time for example. But you never know. Might leak sooner.

People always say that but liking a dev doesn't really prevent the game from leaking. People really like Cosy and his game leaks basically day 1 now.

While I really like this game and usually don't mind supporting devs/buying the games I like, I probably won't subscribe to patreon. Paying what I feel would be the price for the game, or even more at that, monthly. When you get an update every few months. I'm against that. I've done it for a couple devs/games over the years and it always turned out pretty bad. Some I've been paying monthly for years, spent over 4 digits on them and barely ever got any updates, with the games never released.
I understand the patreon model, but I'm not supporting it. A great example of that is Dandy Boy Adventures. It's been yeaaaaaars and now the dev has abandonned the game (He's working on another project called Planet Lust and selling it on steam in order to fund DBA, and that I can get behind. I'm buying the game as soon as it's out and trying to convince a friend to buy it too.)

If the game releases on steam, I will buy it. If it's a one time pay kinda thing, I'll do it.
But like 30 or 50$ monthly with nothing to show for it? No thanks.

Most people who do monthly because they want to support development, take the bottom tier and then up it if they are super passionate. That's the only reason you should. Not really a cost/benefit ratio thing.
A lot of devs don't even recommend most people take high tiers monthly because they don't spend enough time making rewards.

1) There is already a steam page for S1 of the game (that will include Chapters 1-8):
Also regarding steam, I wouldn't trust them enough with Adult/NSFW-related games at all.

2) "When you get an update every few months." yes... it takes time to create the renders, script the game, write the story and test everything. Supporters get monthly dev logs about the progress of the game, and even custom renders of the characters.

3) " Some I've been paying monthly for years, spent over 4 digits on them and barely ever got any updates, with the games never released. " Well this isn't the case for Origin Story, the last update was announced on May 6th and got out to supporters on May 12th. From the looks of it the update release dates is every ~4 months. Which isn't that bad.

Dude, I'm supporting five games on Patreon for a total of €23 a month. It would take me over 43 YEARS to reach spending my first thousand.

If you've spent 4 digits on supporting games, I honestly feel that's an issue with you and not the patreon model.

Genuinely wish I had a level of wealth where I could spend thousands on patreon over the course of only a few years and my only reaction being mild annoyance at not getting enough out of it. I'd be able to expand my "portfolio" and up my level on some of them

Actually, at 23 a month, it would take you 43 months, which is approximately 3 years and 9 months to reach 1000. 23 a month for a year is 276. After 43 years, you would have spent 11,868.

1)
"and if you do choose Isabella to project Anna Abrahams, it does workout with the real Anna"

This one is a real shame, because of you don't do that, you miss out on the lesbian 4 some, but you gain a lesbian 3some with boththe real and the duplicate.

I suggest saving do the first, and afterwards go back and do AnnaAbrahams...

2)
"how does not giving a homeless chick money allow you to sleep with cat ? "

I wonder if there is any advantage for giving the homeless chick some money...

Not giving the homeless chick money allows you to have sex with Cat's clone because otherwise you only have enough money for the bj. Having sex with the clone also gives you the cloning powers and allows a MMF threesome with Evelyn and your clone in a later scene. I always gave the homeless chick money so I wasn't aware of this earlier.

IIRC you have to take more than you need from the money Parker leaves and (again IIRC) just the beej from Cat is enough to enable Evelyn's spitroasting.
