Just finished the update (started it a bit late due to being away on holiday), and I must say I found this update to be very enjoyable.
Loved the conclusion to Lady Steel/Ruth's arc, with her whole match with Chokehold & the vendetta/backstory between them I found to be quite engaging.
Even though not quite on Lady Steel's arc level, I did think Lucia's arc was decent as well, with getting to know Emerald better.
Some good lore was given with heroes having passive powers (which we didn't know before. And ngl, I'm quite curious as to what Ghostraven's passive powers would be)
Also, we finally had gotten use for Meredith's powers for MC.
I had a sneaking suspicion it works for both sexes, and it's good to know it is the case here.
This update also brought in some more world building as well (villains forming their own version of Injustice gang/Legion of Doom in the future?)
With Ruth's arc done for now, I'm guessing we're gonna move onto the next Sisterhood member next as part of the rotation.
Given we went through Moonsong & Lady Steel now, I guess we could be getting on of the following:
- Emerald: I get that we've had some content with her in the beginning and in this update, but I think she will still play a huge factor in Lucia's corruption path. And given Lucia's arc is still ongoing, I'd say there's potential for Emerald to still be relevant at least until Lucia's party storyline finishes.
- Coldsnap: Haven't really had any content with her, but I quite like her personality, especially the playful side she showed after Ruth's match.
- Ghostraven: she's the one most shrouded in mystery out of all the Sisterhood members. Gotta be honest, I hope she's left as last for MC to romance.
Jacquesdor the game I feel is at its strongest when the Sisterhood are involved.
When they're not involved, I do think the game at times does lose some steam a bit (particular with Evelyn. Yes, she's MC's childhood friend, but there's literally nothing going on with her which provides drama/conflict which engages me).
Not sure what can be done to make her arc more interesting, but I do hope other characters like Evelyn somehow up their game as well.
Cause even though Sisterhood contain my favorite LIs (Ghostraven, Lady Steel), I do think my mindset is more like "rising tide lifts all ships" hence I want all LIs to do well.
But regardless, quite enjoyed this season 1, and looking forward to what season 2 brings!
