Good game but there were some things that were a major turn off. The root issue is the MC has little dignity (in specific situations). He gets pushed around by Ruth a lot. A scene that really stood out to me was when Ruth left him in the middle of an unknown route surrounded by forest for accidentally grabbing her breasts while he was falling off the bike. It seemed like she didn't return before a few hours. The deal breaker for me was that the MC wasn't even sad. He was just normal after that.

If it's just a no-brain-required porn game, that's fine. But the reason why I'm talking about it is because the narrative of the game takes itself very seriously. And it's not just with Ruth. He has this friend Amber who is permanently invisible. It turns out she has been violating his privacy at his home for quite a while. Here, the MC did get weirded out but not in any serious way. They banter with each other for a while, then moved on.

The point I'm making is - it's fine for the MC to not be a badass but he seems to have little spine against women which is also fine if it's the narrative. But clearly that's not what the story wants you to think of the MC.

Really found it funny when Moonsong asked me if I was into girl on girl, said that it's not a particular turn on (thus disabling that mode) and five minutes later I have two girls groping themselves and making out with each other right in front of me It's not a huge bother, but I also hope it's not a thing that happens too frequently.

All jokes aside, the game looks really good tbh, still too early for me too judge tho since I've barely begun Chapter Two, but I think it's great that the developer took the time to add alternative scenes in case you're not too fond of certain content. I'm not a particular fan of sharing, no matter if they are boy or girl (somehow other games have different rules when it comes to girls), so I think it's great that the dev too this into account and made an extra effort for us to enjoy the journey as best as we see fit.

Pushed around a lot? What the hell are you talking about? There's some banter between em, and in the beginning she didn't know him and resented being on babysitting duty. But you're making it sound like she bullied the guy, she didn't.

And in the scene you mention she didn't leave him for hours, she didn't even leave him for minutes. She was playing a prank on the guy for getting handsy. She pretended she was going to leave him but turned right around and picked him up. Driving away just enough to sell the joke.

The point I'm making is - it's fine for the MC to not be a badass but he seems to have little spine against women which is also fine if it's the narrative. But clearly that's not what the story wants you to think of the MC.

There's a difference between being a badass and being an asshole who can't take a joke. In fact, if he was to get all "alpha male" and pissed off about some harmless banter and jokes that's the exact opposite of badass, it's a sign of being a thin skinned wimp. Getting angry and lashing out at the slightest provocation isn't a sign of strength, it's a sign of extreme psychological weakness.

Also with his power he's potentially an extreme threat. Showing he's thin skinned and prone to bouts of anger over even small things would be a good way to convince Ruth he'd be better off on the farm. Or even to just splatter his head like a watermelon at a Gallagher show before he gets too powerful. She's a killer, and in this world few give a shit if someone with a dangerous power gets taken out by someone with the authority to do so, which Ruth and the rest of her team have.

Amber is a longtime close friend of his, so yeah, he's a bit forgiving of her spying because of that and because he knows she's going through her own little hell being unable to become visible.

But in terms of why I said no, it's not really an issue with lesbian sex in itself (I've played exclusive girl on girl games and man on man games), it's more a fact that I don't enjoy the LIs in a game messing around, no matter the gender or how they identify themselves. I've always been a fan of one on one; more personal, more intimate.
For some reason a bunch of games assume that we, as guys, will always enjoy lesbian scenes, so I think it's cool that JDOR bothered to at least ask in advance; even if in certain parts you're "forced" to see things that you won't particularly enjoy, but that's true for almost any story in existence.

I still have most of the game to play to form an opinionated view of the game, but I'm really looking forward to see what else is in store!

I will mention that if you're referring to the scene I think you are, the alternative with Lesbian On has quite a bit more girl-on-girl stuff. The biggest difference with Evelyn group sex scenes is that with Lesbian Off, group scenes with her lean more towards a cuckquean vibe, whereas with Lesbian On she gets more involved and directly participates.

Personally I love when everyone gets involved, so that was an easy "On" for me. But Jacq does really go out of his way to create some alternates, though I should mentioned you will miss some stuff with Lesbian Off. It's just not feasible to make alternates for everything, particularly when two side LIs are canonically in a long-term lesbian relationship.

To add just a little to this, between invisibility, telepaths, precogs, etc. in this world of metas there's also just a general expectation that you aren't going to have as much privacy. So this adds even more to why he's not that annoyed by it.

True, didn't even really consider that aspect. At any time he could have Evelyn "riding" him for example. She does from time to time and he knows it.

Frankly I'd consider that a larger violation of privacy than Ambers occasional spying. Amber only sees what happens while she's there. Evelyn sees everything he does for an entire day and he's so used to it that it doesn't even bother him she might be watching.

I assumed that first V-card scene was the one you were talking about, though there's an entirely different scene there if you make a different choice regarding Moonsong. I'm never quite sure which one someone will have picked and I don't want to spoil it.

In regards to the two side LIs I mentioned in a relationship, you actually can potentially have a big scene with them both with or without Lesbian mode (and there's two rather large versions of the scene depending on your choice). Let's just say they're very open minded. It's actually a smaller scene involving the two of them that you'd miss entirely, and a few other smaller bits and pieces for other characters.

Agreed. The only choice I can think of so far that has noticeable effects later down the line is who to have Isabella create for that experiment, the movie star or herself. If you choose the movie star you get a pretty good scene later on while choosing Isabella has no payoff yet. Though it probably will lead to something else eventually I'd guess.

Nothing that the good "old" URM won't solve by changing a variable if need to make a split save playthrough in the case of lazy people like me that don't want to load an older save just to make a different path on that choice.

I mean, I don't think she's actually stopping time in the most technical sense, because that should be impossible if she's not traveling or vibrating at the speed of light, wich she isn't, 'cause she's aging (also, 'cause it breaks the rules of relativity). So, I'm thinking she could be slowing time down so much that it feels like stopping time: let's say 1 second in "normal time" correspods to 100 seconds in "Lucia's time. She could be doing so by speeding up the vibration of her cells, like Flash does. But that requires a lot of energy, and I mean a lot, so I reckon her body would have to adapt her matabolism accordingly, like Flash. I'm saying her cells should work 100 times faster or so, so they'd die faster too (since I'm betting they're not protected by Speed Force). If so, she's aging way more than anyone knows. Like, she stops time for 24 hs, and her body ages 3 months.
Her hair grows way too quickly, maybe this is why. Everyone thinks she spends to much time freezing time, but maybe she doesn't; if so, getting her power could be very dangerous, 'cause unless MC can counteract these effects with Meri's power (wich is unclear) he's on his way to be Trent Cappa.
Yes, I know there should be more relativistic effects to consider, but this is what I've got so far. What do you think?

Jacq has confirmed picking Isabella for the experiment will eventually have a payoff, but not exactly what that payoff will be.

The only other major branching I can think of for now is whether or not you decline Moonsong the first time (but this merges back together around Ch 5 and only is minor dialogue differences after that) and which path to take for Lucia (normal or manipulate). So far, the Lucia choice is mostly scene variations, but according to dev logs Ch 8 should have a big character growth payoff for people on the 'normal' path with her. And Jacq has said there will be more branching as the story continues, so eventually a WT might be useful. But there's no 'love points' or anything like that you need to manage.

Nothing that the good "old" URM won't solve by changing a variable if need to make a split save playthrough in the case of lazy people like me that don't want to load an older save just to make a different path on that choice.

You can definitely do this, but it's actually several variables you need to change if you want to swap paths properly.
