I don't want it but it keeps turning itself on every time I launch the game, and I want to know if I missed anything.

i checked the ch8 script real quick: the only thing that the safe mode does is censoring emerald showing you on her phone a picture send by the barista during the lunch scene
thats it thats all, you're just missing out one render -> images/CH8/080905lunch110.webp

the game script is still checking the old var AND the menu is also modifying that old var which is not a persistent one, so to make sure you change it for good, you do that:

1. load your save
2. open the settings and turn safe mode off
3. advance one dialog line THEN save your game, that shit shouldn't rollback anymore from that point

(there is a whole mess going on with the settings and that is not on you)

Evelyn is fully aware that the sensations she experiences during her scrying are her hosts sensations and not her own.

As far as I recall, you don't directly 'see her experiencing a host's sex' whatever tf that means. As she's dreaming when it happens and we don't ever see her direct POV. She also just ends up usually choosing the MC if she can anyway at a certain point, and just drops hints to him about him smashing other girls.

Initially, in spite of searching and reading posts, I don't think I really understood it.

I just don't want to see others having sex - whether it's through her dreams or other voyeur scenes.
I am not saying any of that would be NTR or anything like that, I just don't really get into watching others have sex if I am playing a game as the MC. (As opposed to a kinetic novel, for example, where we are just viewing all the events as a disconnected observer.)
