What a refreshingly written game. The emotional connections you form are so nice. Ruth and Lúcia arcs are quite touching and have good ups and downs as it should be.
I think this game does suffer a bit from too many good characters. We want them all to have the spotlight all the time.
We have 10 main Love Interests, since Lúcia is clearly one now, and many side ones, we just scratched the surface with Tanya and Georgia, Ruth is the only one with a proper arc, Amber and Lúcia have ongoing ones while Evenly arc being an interesting bit by bit inside others arcs.
Meanwhile, side girls like Anna, Arwen, Cat, Prof. Brown, Marina, Lake, Sapphire etc have a lot of focus too and I expect more girls to appear and have as much focus (my bet is that Inferno might be relevant to Coldsnap's story for example).
This means more than half had barely any development. And we're halfway through. The author is quite literally suffering from success since he wrote (and designed) so many interesting characters with depth.
Only criticism I have is that he's a bit too self indulgent. We see this with the amount of characters and how much he focuses on them even to the detriment to the story. With the references to other AVNs. With the NTR nuts jokes. As the game and story expands and more works need to be done, it does get in the way a bit.

wouldn't be so sure, unless I missed something, when the dev started he had 20 chapters written, and they seem to be growing in scope, that's one. Two, he could have written/planned more since then, I don't think it's a fixed number.
I like these and don't think they get in the way of the story. I mean, it's like one or two lines here and there. I love the comments on the girl's porn pages.

The comments are one thing. I think that stopping the story to talk about during the dialogue, repeatedly, is a bit too much, breaks the immersion a bit.
I think that it only got bad in Ch. 7. Before that, it was at quite nice. Usually more oblique references etc. But there was a lot of repeated name dropping, etc.

That's why I said almost. I have an undercut that I brush to the side, and my hair is curly... But I don't wear it in my face, I'd lose my damn mind from that.if you have a haircut that covers one of your eyes it's pretty edgy

cool, now that we got that out of the way, to be a bit more helpful: compressed version and ports sometimes won't appear in the OP, that's why you need to search the thread for them, hence the gif. Put this in the bar: Origin Story [v0.8.2] [JDOR]My apologies, but thank you for this, it's helpful
If there is something relevant you'll find it that way... in this case a compressed pc and mac version.

You can also go to the search bar at the top of this page and search "this thread only" (default I think). In your profile settings you can also change the default to "sort by date", or something, so the newest are on top and make it easier to find the latest version.

At the AVNLovers awards, I didn't do much in the way of promoting the fact that Origin Story had been nominated so much and it still performed pretty well (including winning Most Underrated). So I'm trying my hand at promoting it this time. It's up against Eternum in all but two of those categories and we all know how much Eternum fans like to turn up for this stuff, so Origin Story is certainly going to need some help.
