The story is about MC having to believe all the hardship is because of him and he has to work harder, so when people that hold his life in their hands throw him a bone, MC jumps at the olive branch with open arms: a young man who has spent his entire life in an orphanage, with no knowledge of his past. As far as he knows, his mother died during childbirth, but this information is unconfirmed. His father left before he was born, and he has no other details about his family or history. As he enters adulthood and leaves the orphanage, he faces numerous challenges while seeking answers to the many mysteries surrounding his life.
I can not for the life of me stand how dumb he is and how easily manipulated he is
MC stands to rely on the seemingly hand out grace of the others: him undeserving of loving after mom, dad and child friend departed, yet found solace and his mother figure in the caretaker of the orphanage, him being the victim of attempted murder and fighting back, then seemingly being left off the hook by the grace of the police officers; him being a newbie, an unqualified nobody and seemingly getting a handout job from the company mistress, him being offered advice and coming to get close to the maid and then a random old fellow and then his daughter - all these times were predicated on him eating their words out of their mouths and putting bank on them not swindling him out of his life. This did pay off in him getting to a point of anchorage.
These are the kinds of leaps of faith and judgment a young adult has to make in order to make friends and come into his own.
