I would've preferred if the dev stuck with the original plans for Ed's storyline instead of scrapping it. It had a lot going on with a potential homewrecker storyline for Lena. Eva Kiss could've taken it in a darker direction for a possible Arthur-lite arc, which would've pleased many of her patrons. Instead, we got more Stan and Robert. The scenes with Ed and Molly feel disjointed since they had a lot of build-up in the early chapters, and then it just went nowhere.

Eva Kiss wanted to cut a storyline because she was overwhelmed. It was between Ed and Stan who'll get the axe, and she went with Ed because the game already had an older man character in Seymour, who's also a key figure in the plot. Stan received a makeover and a more prominent role in the story than initially planned. Ed was supposed to have more screen time, comparable to Robert.

This was the case when I came up with the Van Dykes, the lovely couple who run the café Lena works at. But same as with Robert, once you introduce these "background" characters you realize the potential they have (that's another reason why I try to be measured when introducing characters, because I end up wanting to develop sexy plot lines for them too). In this case, and considering how much people liked Arthur's character in GGGB, I saw in Ed good potential to introduce a somewhat morally questionable relationship with an older man for Lena. It's been already hinted at in the game, and I hope I can develop it satisfyingly

I think Eva trying to toned it down quite bit on ORS, cuz compared to GGGB, ORS can be considered as vanilla, thats how dark GGGB really is, not that much freedom compared to GGGB, but still quite good, and sometimes i missed the darker side of GGGB on ORS

You're right. It seems like going vanilla was the original plan for ORS, but at this point, it's inching into GGGB territory. ORS already has drugs, BDSM, corruption, cucking, etc. Outside of incest and gang murders, I doubt we can rule out anything else for future updates.

I don't think ORS was ever meant to stay "vanilla" it just doesn't start out with Lena in a gangbang and Ian on a cuck chair because the format of the game is to escalate the sexual content, just like GGGB did.

The content is certainly different, but I don't think Lena becoming Seymour's perverted muse is any more vanilla than for example the porn or gang routes in GGGB.

EK knew Ed was going to be more popular than Seymour.
We are 4 years in development and people still ask for good old Ed:KEK:

A good portion of the game is still very vanilla. Almost all of Ian's routes are romantic vanilla routes. The kinkiest things that happen in them is the occasional maledom and the fact that some of the women are cheating on their boyfriend/husband for Ian.

I think it's just a bit more grounded than GGGB which automatically dials down the kinkiness. Ashley was hanging out with famous people, used as a street gang's stress relief and dealer, cucking her bf with his dad, lost her cuck to Africa which is probably a first, fucking HER dad etc all relatively quick story wise. I think GGGBs premise of a good girl potentially going right of the fucking rails gave Evakiss a lot more freedom to get crazy. The entire point was how she could (potentially) go from 0 to 9001 fast.

In ORS corruption and depravity seems like much less of a focus compared to relationships and character. Ian and Lena's sex life is mostly run of the mill hook ups, relationships, kink and cheating. Their friend group is mostly out of the limelight as well, no Jacks or Tyrones. Even slutty Jessica is more reserved than her previous version.

Though of course still plenty of time and room to ramp it right the fuck up.

Should I play the game or just watch gallery scenes? i am confused because there are many 5 star reviews and also a 2 star review with 48 likes. What should i do?
No guarantee you'll like it but this is definitely more in worth the play vs just unlocking the gallery territory.

I wouldn't put much stock in a review's upvotes good or bad. Negative reviews for popular games always get a lot of upvotes. Probably because people are more interested in finding out what may turn them off a game. I do that myself skip past all the 4-5s and read the one 1-2 star review.

Well, Ian is a male character made by a developer who emphasised maledom and cuckoldry in her last game, so it's pretty on par. From the male character perspective GGGB was pretty vanilla too then, we just haven't gotten to the gangbangs and addicting drugs yet.

It's absolutely dialed down. It's also a game that is not yet complete so I am fairly sure content of a similar tone will appear. Probably not any gangs, but there's other corruptive material for Lena to explore.
