Not necessarily. Some might just want Lena to be a slut with chads Ian and Jeremy filling Lena's holes in a devil's threesome (which Lena can fantasize about). These complex decisions can't really be interpreted in one obvious way. I can also present a counter-point that uses the same logic as yours (supported by canon): If you want to commit and be together with Ian in a serious relationship (let's remember that both Ian and Lena have issues with cheating partners), you shouldn't have slept with Jeremy a.k.a. Ian's friend who is known to have a code for not sleeping with bros' girlfriends. There's a clear writing on the wall that this choice has negative consequences for Ian x Lena just like there is for Ian pursuing Cindy or Lena fucking Axel or agreeing to be Seymour's toy. That said, the player is playing both sides, so if you go for the BBC, you probably wanted that cheating, morality reprehensible relationship. If you want Ian to come out on top and be a smart, confident, successful dude, you should not have made Lena do that.
That would be the ideal solution, but also creates a LOT of additional work (as I already mentioned, it would ruin friendship with Jeremy and block Alison / Emma sharing routes or make them toxic, with Jeremy fucking them anyway on the side), and not at all ideal for Eva's gardener style of writing and requires planning a lot of chapters ahead to start fleshing out the route as early as possible. Maybe once Eva has fewer branches to worry about, there might be another smaller revision down the line / DLC that would include that branch, but for now it's important for Eva to stay focused on already established routes and not lose track of them (which requires yours truly to untangle the mess of variables and keep track of all the branches). So if Eva excluded that path for now, it's for clear reasons and is part of the planning to continue releasing the chapters in 3 month window. There is just no 2 ways about it. If you give a choice in the matter to Ian, it WILL create a route where he finds out. That will lead to shattered friendship and broken up couple. This will affect a huge chunk of the game. I'm just saying that this part of the equation could be as delayed as possible so that the story can more or less go on without much adjustment. The players will get the Lena x Jeremy that they opted in for without leading to massive changes in the character relationships. It could just be addressed by conditional flavor text. The player could make a series of decisions as Ian throughout, I dunno, 6 chapters or whatever. It could be ian_jeremy_suspect or something. If you reached the max by the end, the reckoning happens. If you reached something in the middle, he might be a little suspicious but choose to believe. If you get low or no points, he could be oblivious.
Yes, of course, but that requires time to revise everything so you'll have to be patient. Will u be updating the walkthrough to reflect the changes in the remastered version?
Nobody promised that he'll turn into a completely different character in the revision, but every single interaction with him has been reworked and expanded upon. Was Stan really reworked? he is still a creep tbh. Not that I care I never liked his character that much anyway.
Believe me, I know exactly what you are saying regarding MC agency in their own respective sides and the general coding complexity of a Jeremy x Lena situation. That said, my point still stands. If someone wanted to go for a wholesome threesome sharing with Ian x Jeremy x Lena, it wouldn't make sense for Lena to be played as a BBC fantasizing, Jeremy blowing, betrayer. Concievably, there might be someone who compartmentalizes the 2 MCs and play as if they didn't know what's going on on the other side, but that still leads to the same conundrum. How will Ian react to the fact that Lena sexted Jeremy and gave him a sloppy BJ? If he finds out, there will certainly be a significant branching decision. Not necessarily. Some might just want Lena to be a slut with chads Ian and Jeremy filling Lena's holes in a devil's threesome (which Lena can fantasize about). These complex decisions can't really be interpreted in one obvious way. And like someone said, that's also assuming you're playing this game on your own, instead of playing it with your gf who has a completely separate playstyle and agency from yours, and you, playing as Ian, might not have wanted for Ian to turn into Eric because of your gf's decisions. And while that's not the designed way to play the game, I think the game should still treat Ian's and Lena's agency separately and not assume that the player has one grand plan for both.
Even if you're playing by yourself, the ability to roleplay as Ian and Lena differently creates amazing opportunities to direct an interesting story. So I think it's fine when the choices you make for one protagonist, can then result in a consequence that deprives you of agency for the same protagonist later (like Ian falling in love with Lena not being able to commit to Alison or Holly). But it's not really immersive if making a choice for one of the protagonist, removes agency for another. Which is why I think Ian-Holly-Lena drama was so controversial, because players wanted to roleplay as Ian and Lena in their own way, but worst of all, it was NPC's decision (Holly's aka Eva's) that deprived both Ian and Lena from agency to handle that situation in a mature way.
Wow Stan and Perry higher than Axel is mad. for me he is the best npc in the game and his scenes are goated
It was more than a year ago, ranking might be a bit different nowWow Stan and Perry higher than Axel is mad. for me he is the best npc in the game and his scenes are goated
Robert last lmao. He's a whiny bitch so makes total sense. I'd say Robert and Stan are the most useless of the bunch imho
I am now 99% convinced Gillian will be back as an actual character with sex scenes. I think Eva realized she created a great angelic looking character and it would make so much dramatic sense for her to come back. I would love it if the second half of the game would be focused on Ian deciding whether to try and mend things with Gillian, and of course on Lena's side, deciding whether to pursue her as well. Lots of options this could develop, my favorite being Lena making Gillian cheat on Ian once they get back together, of courseIan’s pictures and dream of Gillian. It’s too early to say for certain if she’ll show up in person or not, but she’ll definitely play a bigger role than what’s seemed likely earlier. The biggest plot twist would obviously be if she shows up or even turns out to be Mike's girlfriend. But even if that doesn't happen, it would fit in well with Ian's current potential character arcs. Will he stop looking at the pictures and decide to forget about her (Chad Ian), or will he just dig himself deeper into his own misery, in a path where he spends his time watching Jeremy's pictures, Lena's Stalkfap and thinking about how Gillian betrayed him?
Eh. She'll just be another one of Axel's hoes.I am now 99% convinced Gillian will be back as an actual character with sex scenes. As far as i play, she don't want a relationship with him, just hook up. So i think the anwser is no. But afters Lena fuck him, you can pretty much make Lena start ignore Robert and prioritize other guys (Ian, Mike)is there a path that Lena cheating on Robert?
Sad. I'd have liked an option for Ian to be Axel's "pupil" in assholeryIan no longer having drinks with Axel. Eva mentioned the potential friendship between Axel and Ian in the latest Q&A, but said that she wasn't sure if she would be able to develop it, because of the complexity in the relationship between Ian, Lena and Axel. I would guess that’s part of the reason why Jeremy’s taken Axel’s role in that scene, and that a friendship between Ian and Axel is unlikely as things stand now.
Could be. Or Jeremy could share his photos and videos of her with Ian Or Lena could add her to her playtime with Ivy or expand her own redhead harem! She'll just be another one of Axel's hoes.
I don’t know what Eva’s reasoning was behind not wanting Gillian in the story in the first place, but I guess it at least creates some variation between Ian’s and Lena’s paths. If she’s got strong feelings against having Gillian present, I could see the current solution being a compromise between her initial plan and the requests to write her into the story. Though I agree it’s more likely that she’ll actually show up than not.I am now 99% convinced Gillian will be back as an actual character with sex scenes. NoThe scene of Cindy an Ian fucking out the club is removed from this version right?
You missed the most monumentally important change, a tectonic plate shift, the likes of which throws the entire story for a loop now:I tried to think through which of the changes in the remaster (apart from Stan) are likely to affect the coming chapters. While most of the changes are meant to improve the story as it was already written, there's a few of them that hints to what Eva might be planning for the coming updates.
I bet there's more things, but that's the ones I could think of at the moment.
- Ian’s pictures and dream of Gillian. - The new interaction between Seymour and the Mayor. I think I wrote a post after chapter 9 about the Mayor and how it seemed likely that him and Seymour would be some kind of enemies, and that he was likely to play a bigger role now that Seymour's shown his true colours. With the new interactions between the two, and how the financial problems in the city is talked about a lot more in the remaster, I think that's pretty much confirmed.
- Jeremy no longer sharing nudes of Louise. Maybe I just missed this on my playthrough, but as far as I could see, Jeremy doesn't share his nudes of Louise now. It doesn't have to mean anything special, but I could also imagine it being because Eva is planning for Ian and Louise to spend some time together, and decided it would work better without Ian having participated in that asshole behaviour already.
