Substitute Ivy for Jeremy here and this still rings true! They both have similar dialogs as your quote in the game.Jeremy's is meant to be shallow, since he's a shallow guy. He's a "I'm fucking around and not gonna settle anytime soon because there's hot babes everywhere" guy. I personally thought that was reflected well, but what do I know.
The friend groups are one of the reasons I liked this game from the start. Average guy has a close knit group of friends who care about him at the start. Model level girl has shallow friend(s) who compete with her for attention, or for her attention. I think the dynamic with friends is pretty realistic for each of them. If you are a likeable average guy, you have friends who like you, if you are a hot chick that seems a lot harder, friendships might be more transactional. The romance routes for each seem to reflect this.I don't know that I've ever said that the supporting cast for Lena is there for sex, but it's expressed in that way a lot. Lena can fuck Louise and Ivy but not romance either. Initially Stan was a perversion choice, peeping, trenchcoat and fedora, wanking it to her pics, generally perving on her. He was reworked later but his romance starts really late and his content can ber otherwise pervy still, even if it's toned down a little bit.
Similarly I don't know that I'd say Ian's cast is there for romance, but unlike Lena, Ian at least have those options. He can start the Holly thing somewhat early and he has more options to "court" several women, he's allowed to actually be interested in them.
The main outlier to both of them is each other of course and like you said Ian can choose to not romance anyone and just fuck everyone too. But at least he has the options. Lena only gets an alternate romance option in chapter 13, though her relationship with Holly of course builds up to it for a while.
The main difference I tend to point out though is the inherent disadvantage Lena has from having such a tiny initial roster of friends and acquaintances. At the game's start it is just Louise, Ivy, Stan and Robert really. Ian by comparison has Perry, Wade, Jeremy, Alison, Cindy, Emma, Holly and Minerva, all of whom are love interests or the partner/potential partner of his love interests. Note that I count Holly in his cast as he knows her before the story begins, though it is of course fair to point out that Lena begins to get to know her too literally right away.
I think Lena should have had another initial friend or two. Perhaps someone she shared her musical interest with, maybe a college friend she could have in common with Louise, which could also help out some of her material since she quickly becomes forgotten if you don't fuck her or Jeremy. The Louise/Ivy rivalry hasn't really been relevant since the bottle-game either so it's not like it would have changed a ton there.
I don't as such have an issue with how each friend group is expressed really, I just think Ian's is inherently more flexible with the types of content he can get with the characters in his group compared to Lena. The friend groups are one of the reasons I liked this game from the start. Although some men have a high regard for playing a female character for X reason, it is interesting to put yourself in their shoes and play the part or simply chart the path you must follow as an entity that guides your story. and without disparaging Ian, I must say that Lena's life is more interesting and dramatic. Throughout the story, Lena has had a difficult life with its ups and downs, ex-obsessives, saving the business where she works, starting a music career, trying to survive a crazy millionaire, and possibly now filming a porn movie, among other things.Skylark21 is right.

Ian fumbles a lot if you pick the wrong options.Although some men have a high regard for playing a female character for X reason, it is interesting to put yourself in their shoes and play the part or simply chart the path you must follow as an entity that guides your story. and without disparaging Ian, I must say that Lena's life is more interesting and dramatic. Ian, on the other hand, with the exception of his breakup with Gillian, has generally had it very easy. From the beginning, he climbs the ladder without much trouble and has plenty of women, and rightly so, thanks to the power of being an alpha male, I suppose, and that ultimately becomes a bit monotonous. The only difficult thing here is choosing who you will stay with, unless there is a hidden harem route.
Yep, great scene, I had it in the love Ian path and with some good choiches.Top 5 unexpected scenes View attachment 5297249
I tried going for Ian's failing options and the gameplay is so depressing i just quit.Ian fumbles a lot if you pick the wrong options.
There's more, but you get the idea.
- He gets fired from the job and then has to make Doordash deliveries.
- He can botch his book with the lowest score.
- You push him towards being a chad, it's not ingrained in his personality by default.
- He can also fail terribly at the fight scene with Robert and Axel, also fail at the tournament.
- He also has a chance of messing up with the drawing at Lena's gig if he has low wits.
It seems to be fixed in the beta update, there's no longer any reference to that non-existent variable.I ran across a Renpy error/game halting bug in the alpha, haven't tested in the beta.
Thanks, I haven't had a chance to try the beta.It seems to be fixed in the beta update, there's no longer any reference to that non-existent variable.
Fendrall , I want you as my therapist! What a perfect game's plot exam you did!I have chosen the path of an exclusive Ian/Lena relationship, and I must say that if you're not careful, the pitfalls and dangers of screwing it up are just around the corner.
So far, Lena's story has attracted the most attention because of all the drama I've seen (Axel, Seymour, her family situation), but be careful not to underestimate Ian.
We know little to nothing about his family so far, except that he has distanced himself from his parents and that his father calls him on the phone to urge him to “come to his senses” and follow in his footsteps. It is therefore reasonable to expect that we will learn more later on and that some drama may unfold.
In his relationship with Seymour, I am having Ian take the most “diplomatic” way possible, but I expect that soon I will have to make him “cross the Rubicon,” just as I did with Lena who rejected his proposal, and so Ian will also have to face a dangerous adversary.
As for Axel, I can't wait for Eva to give Ian the chance to wipe that asshole smile off his face.
So for now, Lena is definitely the one facing the most drama, but that doesn't mean Ian will be left alone. On the contrary, I foresee several pitfalls for him in the near future.
However, we shouldn't underestimate the fact that Ian has to fight the ghosts of his past (Gillian's betrayal), which make him insecure, and if he's not careful this will affect his relationship with Lena.
Fortunately for me, in my path Ian is facing his ghosts in the most appropriate way, and in fact I can say that his relationship with Lena is excellent: I have seen it grow and strengthen day after day.
I may be one of the few, but I really like Ian as character.
I have one path with "sluttest Lena" where you can do all things (I think). Tonight when I am at home.Hey guys, Please help a brother out, can anyone of you provide a save file to mostly cover all the scenes this update offers.
